Probably right. I was afraid it was an Achilles the way he went down.
100% cramp. I saw him cramping up on the previous possession when they knocked the pass over the backboard. He started to raise his hand to the sideline, but put it down fast and started trying to crouch and stretch.

I wish we had a better team around Walker so he could get more national recognition. Guys a stud.

He looks fine now. Might have been a thigh cramp. Unlike a calf, you can’t just stretch those away. Just have to hydrate and let it pass.
Could’ve been? But I still wouldn’t have hurried him off that quickly as it could’ve done some damage.

Thought this team would only win 1 more after their performance at home against NW. Seems Fred has his guys working as 1 unit and focused to try maximize opportunities to win a few more games to finish the regular season. Kudos to them.

Kinda was last night. Wil Cher’s unexpected production was the difference last night.

Interesting that Keita only got 4 minutes of playing time, after having a great game against Wisky. We had 4 starters with 32+ minutes of PT, so not a lot of substitutions. In hindsight, a good decision on that because of how much full court pressure RU applies and Walker can handle the press better (much, much better). Hopefully Keita gets rid of his stone hands by next season.

Did Denim play at all last night? Is he hurt? Didn't really think of it during the game.

None of the Jays’ conference losses are “bad,” but they are missing opportunities for quality road wins. Big hole in their tournament resume.
They’ll have one more opportunity at Villanova and will have a huge home game against Marquette next Tuesday..

I want Keita to get more playing time, but not at the expense of Walker's minutes. NU needs Walker on the floor as much as possible in order to be competitive, so I really wish Fred would get over his aversion to playing them together. It worked out fine last night because the shots were falling and because Rutgers often failed to convert on its second-chance opportunities. But I feel like Keita's rebounding and defense are too valuable for him to be confined to the bench.

It also drives me crazy that so many BB coaches let the other team's lineup decisions dictate who they put on the floor: "OMG OMG OMG, they went small now we have to!"

Creighton is in fine shape if they want to finish 3rd or 4th in the Big East and get in the tourney as an 8 or 9 seed. That's not a terrible season by any means, but this team should have done better than that.

Their slowdown offense has lowered their margin for error significantly

I never bought the hype about the Jays being a Final Four or even Elite 8 team. But the Big East was very winnable this year, and their inability to close out road games has been costly. They also dropped a pair of should-be-wins in Las Vegas when the VB Final Four was being played in Omaha. Just can't seem to close the deal against quality opponents unless it's on their home court.

They bit off more than they chewed early in the year with that schedule.

All this talk about Creighton is making me nauseous. Creighton is the blowup doll of college basketball powers. Kinda looks like the real thing, but deflates quickly at the critical moment.

for the "couple more years" crowd:

I don't get the point. This moron spends his life schilling for Creighton, and a casual review reveals that he makes Sean Callahan look like Edward R. Murrow by comparison. His tweet is the textbook definition of salty butthurt two months later. It's warms my heart that his first thought after another Creighton loss is to try and salve his wounds by trolling Nebraska. So pathetic.

the point is 2 of our 3 best players won't be back next year and all we've accomplished in 5 years is getting on the NIT bubble

has nothing to do with that poster, who I'm sure is a dumb fat loser

has everything to do with the above being good enough to earn years 6 & 7 in some people's eyes
