This team might be pretty good if the entire point of the sport they play wasn’t to make baskets

Stop me if you’ve heard this before: Ten missed FTs doom Huskers’ chances…

That was an offensive foul, and somehow the ref saw a defensive call. Seriously, just fire all big 10 refs and bring up the best HS varsity crews.
I would have been okay with a no-call there, but calling that an and-one was absolute horse ****.

But, it allowed the celebration to begin back at the BTN studio.

apparently the only time NU cannot jack up a quick three is when they should

We have a bunch of very flawed players. At times you watch them and you're like, he could be decent. And then you keep watching and nah.

They called ten more fouls on PSU. We shot ten more FTs. We lost this game due to our own ineptitude.
True, true. Called too tight for both sides. Penn state's bought refs know we play physical defense and can't hit our FTs. WE are at a bigger disadvantage when the game is called tight. This is known. We got screwed by refs, again.

Yeah there were a couple of horrendously bad calls, but not enough to swing the outcome. By Big Ten standards, this crew was not too bad.

only hoiberg (a big time loser) could put together a roster this shallow

Plus the two bigs he has on the bench are prohibited by law from playing if Walker is on the floor. That makes the roster even thinner, especially from a rebounding standpoint.

He played the two bigs together today. WB was guarding guards, which was interesting.

I was talking about Keita and Oleg. Neither of whom are very good right now, but I would still try to give the more minutes with so few healthy players available.

Fred seems okay with playing Breidenbach and Walker together, probably because Breidenbach knocked down a three at some point. Fred apparently wants a minimum of 4 guys on the floor who can clank a three.

I forgot Oleg was on the team.

I missed the last 7 minutes of game time because the wedding I was at started at 3. Thank god. Not to repeat, but HTF can a team consistently be this bad at shooting? How??????

The sad part is, they could have maybe overcome the ever-terrible perimeter shooting today if they make some layups and FTs.

dead fred: 37-76 (.309), 12-55 (.179) in conference

tim miles: 116-114 (.504), 52-76 (.406) in conference
Man Fred is bad! Ha

The end of the season will be odd...Brey retiring at ND, they will probably end up with Holtman, which opens up OSU, Texas is open and they want Cal, which opens up UK, which means UK goes and gets Oats...and that means Bama will be horrible again.

Fred, my guess, he keeps his job with an NIT bid?

That is going to be very difficult with the injuries they have encountered..

Am I crazy or did I see tominaga letting the crowd and/or penn state bench know what place they held in his heart late in the game?
