He’ll go from zero to four stars in pretty short order. Just need enough time for an “expert” to google a couple items and find a YouTube clip.

If Allar (PSU's QB) is as good as advertised the Nits are going to be a beast the next couple years. Would hate to lose this recruit to them from under our noses

Living in central PA in Nittany Lion country... people want Franklin fired after every loss and even some wins. I find it rather amusing. He's a mediocre game day coach but a good recruiter. The former is part of the reason why they seemingly lose to Michigan and OSU every year

Penn State is also hard after Cartwr Nelson. They are going to be a pain in our *** this cycle.

I really want to see this young man in a full game. I have watched him play basketball & he did not stand out. He is big & it appears he has a lot of room to grow. Very athletic for his size right now & it was nice to see him hustle around & go hard. Seemed like a nice young man & still has a baby face and much more he can put on his frame.

Very interested in watching him work in a game this fall.

P.S. Can anyone confirm he is 6’5”??? I stood pretty close to him on the court & he appeared to be 6’2” or 6’3” at most which is fine because he does look like he is gonna grow….just curious

I can confirm that he is definitely closer to 6'5 than 6'2 or 6'3.

Notre Dame and Iowa will be tougher competition for nelson than penn state is.

I have heard ND has made multiple visits. I am sure they will be tough. But Iowa? I’m sure the kid is too intelligent to consider that clown shown.

This will ruffle some feathers around here, but every OL that wants to play in the NFL should at the very least consider Iowa.

Clearly not going to happen, but if my kid was a 3-4 star OL who had an offer from Iowa, that’s where I’d tell him to go.

Carter is a TE so it’s not relevant, BUT those days are long gone for Io_a. The OL coach and strength coach responsible for their OL success are gone and now they have the worst OL in CFB.

Why did Rhule like this tweet? I don’t like that
For a recruiting expert how can you not see the game being played here?

We just landed two kids from PA. Rhule’s heavily recruiting PA so Franklin saying “ok, let’s play that game” with offering NE kids. note: Penn St and Franklin have never really tried to recruit Nebraska

Rhule’s “like” is him telling Franklin “game on”

For an analyst a guy in the know, I’d expect you to know these games being played within the game

Every coach we’ve had since joining the Big ten has had little success recruiting the Big Ten States other than a little Minnesota and Iowa. Good for Rhule to try to move in. It’s past due for Nebraska to do this

iowa has put TEs in the NFL and yes carter has had a level of interest with them as he should.

We all think that if we or our sons were in this situation we would blow off iowa or another traditional rival just because, but none of us would really do that unless there was a legitimate reason not to. We would tell our sons to listen to coaches and evaluate without emotion getting in the way to at least consider the options, then eliminate from there.
This year definitely hurt Iowas chances with any offensive recruit, however, as it should have.

One thing is absolutely for sure true: Nebraska had little to no chance with Nelson before Rhule, and now we have more of a chance.
