Bottom line, football is a violent sport and I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often but it's not always what we think. I remember when Detroit Lions Chuck Hughes died on the field in 1971 from heart stoppage, it was latter learned he had 75% blockage. I was a senior in HS and had just finished playing football in 1970 and it hit home hard because Hughes was not that old. I think we will learn more about Damar Hamlin and his health going forward. I'm not saying Damar has heart disease but I think we'll know more soon and we all hope and pray he will make a full recovery.

known drug user Aaron Rodgers called Zac Taylor out by name today in his interview on the Pat McAfee Show as being a total class act & clearly acting from a place of empathy and caring

people notice when you do the right thing

Nothing surprising here, Zac was always a stand up guy.
I don't know exactly what went down but it certainly appeared to me that the NFL's first reaction was to resume play. Coach Taylor walking across the field to speak to the Bills about the situation tells me that he had an understanding early on that this situation was much more important than football. He understood the situation before the NFL reps did and reacted with high character.

Based on what I read today, the game officials on the field assumed they were expected to resume the game. The league office evidently contacted their league reps on site, who got word to each sideline to retreat to their locker rooms so the league and players association could agree on the course of action.

Looking back on it, if the NFL had cancelled the game right away while the ambulance was still on the field, people would have left and clogged up the roads around the stadium. The ambulance might not have been able to get out quickly and reduced his chances for survival. So it is possible the indecision while the NFL got their act together was a good thing.

This is unlikely to have anything to do with pre-existing heart disease. This could happen in a variety of sports including baseball and soccer.

That's because A-Rod is a great guy. Like Zac. Couldn't say anything nice without some dumb cheap shot? Lame.

I’m sure Rodgers’ family and exes (girlfriends and teammates / devonte Adams took a paycut to play for vegas) would agree!
He didn't take a pay cut dummy. GB offered the exact same contract. No state income tax in Nevada. He wanted to be a Raider and play with his college roommate. He talks with Aaron weekly. They are still friends. You sound jealous he gets hot women and is a 4 time MVP. But enjoy the 2nd pick in the draft. Bears. Lol

Devonte Adams chose to save a few dimes & play with a new coach + qb who just got benched instead of chase a Super Bowl with the former mvp who also is his “friend”?

Yea okay

How’s the weather on whatever non-earth planet you inhabit?

I know you're stupid so I'll talk slow. He didn't know how much longer Rodgers was going to play. Maybe only 1 to 3 years. He's 39. He wanted to make a SB run with the Raiders with his college teammate who is much younger. Now, his boy is gone and A-Rod and the Packers are playoff bound. So, who fvcked up?? Maybe one day your Bears will get HOF QBs like Favre and A-Rod. Doubtful. Why you're always picking top 10 every year. You suck.

Here's the full interview since you seem to have a hard on for A-Rod.

Put on your Big 10 jammies and go dream of your 2nd pick in the draft. Nobody cares.
You care

A lot

Unlike the entire Rodgers family and Davonte Adams feel for known drug user and one-time nfc champ (same as Rex grossman, minus the family and plus the drug use) Aaron

I'm impressed by many things that transpired Monday night, but MAYBE the fact that an alcohol affected crowd responded in a apparently 100% correct way is perhaps the biggest...

Same here. I’m confused at why some are desperately trying to turn the NFL into some kind of villain here. It seems they managed an incredible crisis rather well. Same for the game day operations staff at the stadium, and like you said, the crowd. I will grant the game officials some latitude on confusion on restarting the game. They’ve all seen lengthy stoppages for potentially serious injuries before, and every time they have resumed play.

While Hamlin was being attended to on the field, the League a Player’s Union were in communication on next steps. It took some time to finalize the approach.

I don’t see any ghoulish attempt by anyone to force those players back out there with only Zach Taylor there to save the day.

Plant based psychedelic. Helps some people with anxiety and depression. But according to Little Kong he's Pablo Escobar. Make sure to notify the NFL front offices Top Gun. They need to know of this criminal activity. Lol. Gimp.

Maybe you should try it. It might help with your hatred and paranoia of the Big 10.
This doesn’t even make any sense

There’s nothing wrong with rooting for a person who has been alienated from him family, whose friends leave as soon as they can and who takes a max contract while complaining about his lack of weapons

It’s gotten you 1 nfc title in what 15 years? That’s so awesome! Happy for you, friend

Funny, you don't mention the Super Bowl title. I know you're not familiar being a Bears fan. What's it been 38 years? It's called the Lombardi trophy for a reason.

Couldn't agree more. Think about the effects of firing everyone who says something you may not agree with...we literally wouldn't have anyone employed....then think about who is tasked with deciding who gets to decide such a thing...don't see any holes in that plan!!!

Journalists used to have influence in society. They could change the way people saw things. They could also end someone's career with a libelous article in a major newspaper or magazine. They don't have that power anymore. So what do they do? They call their former college classmates that run tech companies and ***** and moan until they get people deplatformed. Ironically Bayliss is a journalist and people can't read well enough to realize he was saying this super important game was irrelevant because Hamlin was dying on the field. The only thing needing a cancelling is cancel culture.
