Adding more LB's and WR's to this class?

Nebraska isn’t done adding to its 2023 recruiting class just yet.
While the Huskers have already taken five wide receivers from the high school ranks and the transfer portal, a pair of transfer targets are still in play for Nebraska. North Carolina A&T transfer Sterling Berkhalter picked up a Nebraska offer earlier in the week, followed by an offer to Hillsdale College wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa on Thursday.
Additionally, recent decommitments from a pair of 2023 linebacker recruits could spell opportunity for Nebraska. Altamonte Springs (Fla.) Lake Brantley twin brothers Andrew and Michael Harris, both four-star recruits, decommitted from UCF two weeks ago.

I’d still be interested in any transfers they feel could compete right away.
Adding more HS players doesn’t seem as helpful considering we need to trim roster.
But I’ll also trust Rhule to do his thing.

Just don’t wanna drive off any upperclassmen who contribute now for HS development guys.
We need immediate impact.

Love what the staff is doing so far. This roster needs a complete overhaul with Rhule type guys.

There’s going to have to be some guys leave this spring. The normal transfer numbers are around 10-12 I think.

Looks like NU is 5 over the limit as of today and isn't done adding HS kids and there are still portal needs. Let's say NU ends up 10 over as of the spring game. Take a look at the scholarship roster. What 10 guys are packing their bags? NPG? Tyreke Johnson? Clark? Hickman? Torres and/or Haarberg? Gabe?

And it's important Nebraska goes after every one of these recruits. Do they have a chance with them? don't know but at least you go after them.

I'm sure Rhule will have THE TALK with those that won't be playing for Nebraska going forward and people will just need to understand it's nothing personal, it's just business.

Has to happen. No dead weight.

We probably still got 5-8 easy choices. It’s getting up to 10 where I start to worry what we’re cutting and what we’re left with.

We got young unproven guys who we don’t know much about, but I’m not one to assume they’re not worth keeping yet.

Just noticed Michael Linn is no longer listed. Did he announce or just fade off quietly?

But what about Johnny Tryhard???!!! Just because he’s done nothing in his multiple years here, doesn’t mean the Frosturbators won’t cry.
On the contrary, we need to make sure to expand the roster. I’m thinking minimum 300 guys. That way every former Frost teammate can have a pet project to claim as their own

Who was that small white RB that so many fans were in love with the last few years...maybe from Millard?

Less guys like that please...more guys that not only try hard but are also talented.

Remember the new staff recruits athletes and runs somewhat of a position-less scheme in their words. So I believe they see players as more interchangeable position wise than some other staffs.

Who is on the roster that is basically dead weight? I’ll give guys in their 1st 2 years a break and just look at guys here 3+ years already or have one year left:
Tyreke Johnson
Hunter Anthony, whoever that is
Omar Brown
Snodgrass
NPG
Singleton
One of the QBs
One of the Soph LBs
One TE

That’s 9, plus we will lose 2-3 more after spring. As it is, I haven’t seen Singleton, Morton, Bretz, Lynum, Kpai, Hill, and others do anything significant. We could easily lose 12-13 guys, and we should if we want to be good.

I think some of those players would benefit from fresh eyes and a position switch. Singleton could add some weight and move in the box adding LB, Rover depth. I think the young LBs will benefit from the scheme change as well. Most on your list do need to move on.

Tyreke Johnson - sure, blue chip bust
Hunter Anthony, whoever that is - split time with Benhart, could possibly start next season
Omar Brown - sure
Snodgrass - portal pending how things shake out in spring ball
NPG - sure
Singleton - backup to Farmer last season
One of the QBs - sure
One of the Soph LBs - 3 enter spring ball, 2 emerge
One TE - probably will happen

What happened with Snodgrass? I watched his high school playoff games and thought he would be a good P5 player.
