It was hard seeing where he fit in.Lol we'll be fine. Good luck to him, just didn't see him as a scheme fit anyway unless he put on some weight and put his hand in the dirt.
Same thing we said about Cam last year.. he should have stayed in Lincoln another year too..He isn’t even close to being ready for the drat Needed to stay in college another year…He was given bad advice I believe..
Might not be drafted till the 5th round..Same thing we said about Cam last year.. he should have stayed in Lincoln another year too..
I’m thinking UDFA.Might not be drafted till the 5th round..
He wasn’t the best player on either side of the ball..I was really hoping we could hit the ground running next year. But losing the best player on each side of the ball to the draft really hurts.
That’s the reason why he was given bad advice..I’m thinking UDFA.
Actually, he said the best player on EACH side of the ball.He wasn’t the best player on either side of the ball..
Palmer has more upside getting drafted higher than Nelson..

was a great Husker. Gave max effort every snap. Great role model for other players on the team
Well actually Rhule had said that we weren’t going to be lining up in 3 man fronts all that much. He said that they were going to adapt their D to the players available. Maybe that was just coach speak to try to keep Nelson around but if you’ve watched much of the video out there on our DC you can see Nelson could still fit. I see them more often with 4-6 guys on the LOS than I do 3. Nelson can cover most TEs in the B1G.As far as Nelson's role in a 3-3-5 D, he's a little undersized to play at one of the ends. TCU's 3 starters on the DL go 275, 320 and 280.
He would have been a lot better under a better coach. Dawson was awful, about as bad a coach as we've had on Frost's staff.Nelson started to come on this past year and get better. I personally don’t think he was a real good player. A good motor helped him make a few plays but he also took bad angles, made wrong reads, and missed tackles.
It appeared to me that every coach we had on defense got better after we fired Chin.He would have been a lot better under a better coach. Dawson was awful, about as bad a coach as we've had on Frost's staff.
We certainly had terrible coaching. And I know he’s been here for years but one more season under a real staff would have made him better. At least I think that’s what would happen. He would have been a lot better under a better coach. Dawson was awful, about as bad a coach as we've had on Frost's staff.
It does??? Nice kid but disappeared a lot especially in big games. Might have a confidence problem and in his career is constantly out of position and it killed the team at times.****! I did not see that coming. That REALLY hurts.
Plays hard, but is not a very good player for his physical makeup. NFL is so much about technique and not doing your own thing. He did a lot of the opposite at NU. Has all the tools just doesn’t ever seem to constantly put everything togethergood luck to him. plays hard.
wonder if he'll get a combine invite? helped a couple of our guys immensely last year
