Good for him. I've got no beef with any of the assistant coaches that were here over the last 4 years.

He was a big part f the problem. Good guy. Bad DC. Pretty telling on how he landed.
Yep, it's very telling that he ends up as a co-coordinator at a program that's been better than nebraska the last 15 years or so.

What's it telling though.

He’s a Boise State and took a big pay cut. EVERYBODY has been better than us with him as our DC.

I have to disagree, the offense was the issue.
It was a combo of things of course but Chins couldn't even stop GA southern for piss sakes. stop it. Also he had all summer to prepare for terrible Northwestern offense and they scored more on us than any other team in 2022...

He will love living in Boise (Boy see not Boy zee) The Stadium is nice but small, 30,000 seats. Nice campus along the Boise River that everyone paddle boards and floats. Boise has a cool downtown. The real estate market is one of the most overpriced in the country. Since Covid there has been a deluge of new people moving in. Good climate, similar to what I have. May get a little too hot in the summer for some, but can drive a couple of hours to towns like McCall and Sun Valley for cooler temps. The drive to Salt Lake City is under 5 hours. I will be going through there this February on my way to Sun Valley and Snowbasin. Chin was in Eugene with the Ducks so the Boise State head coach was either one of his players or fellow coaches.

I hope he does real well at Boise. I bet its a real relief for him to get away from all the crucifiers at Nebraska who would turn on their very own. They were ready to filet him and anyone else who didn't bring them a win. I hope he runs his exotic defenses like he did at UCF where he was a very successful coach.

Saw him speak at a car dealership when the former staff was hired in 2017-18. Heard lots of good things about him, his family and his faith. I guess what I’m trying to say is…you weren’t going to find him at Gate 25.

I know the Georgia Southern performance was the nail in the coffin, but the 2022 season was over before it started - the staff knew it was over and it showed in their body language.

Good luck on a new start at Boise State, Coach Chinander.

Fun Fact, Boise's coach got his start in coaching at UNK as their D-Line coach. He was only at Oregon from 2019-2020 so I don't think he's ever worked with Chin.

Chin got a million dollar buyout, so he'll still be making bank next year while getting to live in Boise and having a low-pressure job. Not a bad gig.

I never like to see our coaches fail. Glad landed somewhere. Maybe he’ll learn some things and get better.
