Im glad he is calling them out. This probably happens at every school but they usually dont call people out. Hell call out their social media names too.
Hok fans are the biggest idiots. They flipped a player 2 days ago from Eastern Illinois and that’s ok but now the shoes on the other foot and they become even bigger idiots.
Grow up kid. This will happen with any fan base. And the fans who are tweeting about you are not representative of the majority of fans. You are a coveted five star recruit and you flipped on your verbal commitment to your State's main school. You had to know every ******* on the internet would come out to condemn you. And no matter where you go it is not going to get any better. It is a fishbowl for guys like you. Get used to it or get out.

Iowa fans need to start looking at their program how the rest of college football fandom looks at their program. They are their own worst enemies.
Why do you say that? I am no fan of Iowa as you know. But I highly doubt their fan base is any worse than most.

No. I never contact recruits in any way and I condemn the idiot fans who do this kind of crap. My point was not to condone such behavior but to point out that all sports fans in all major sports, college and pro, do this kind of crap and if you are going to be a big time athlete in that world you better get used to it.
I agree, if it actually happened like that....this kid has made several weird statements since he decommitted and I guess I'm just not buying every single thing he's selling now.

Yes, I should not have led with the “grow up” comment. It put the post in a more accusatory light than I intended. So I accept your criticism here as valid. But I stand by my deeper point. These young guys today live and breathe in the world of social media. And that is an often vulgar space occupied by morons. Therefore, if you are going to play in that sandbox you had better get used to it. The better path, in my view, is to just ignore the hateful trolls and dismiss them in silence.

You’d be wrong. I live near and work around many and the vast majority hold feelings they express on this board. Their board is a cesspool of ignorance. Some respect @SWIowahawks persistence to stay on this board, but his true colors come out on the Iowa board. Year in and year out they see their program as on the cusp of an Alabama/Georgia type run or Nebraska’s 90s - early 2000s run and over 60 years of disappointment has taken a toll on their psyche.
Fair enough. As social media is a tough space to navigate. I have no problem with him calling these idiots out. Also wouldn't have a problem with him killing them with silence. To each their own, but this kid definitely did not deserve to be ridiculed for his own decisions and life path. Iowa.
I’ve hated many other college teams we’ve played (especially in the Big-8. Big-12) but I have never posted on any of their boards once or repeatedly like some of these fools.
But I still stand by my post that all these Newbie handles that pop up are simply trolls.
Trolls or not they are still Iowa fans and they are still despicable humans. There are teams I’ve disliked, namely KSU (like Iowa they’ve scheduled their way to any success they’ve had) and Colorado for numerous reasons. Never thought twice about Iowa as a team as they’ve never been relevant, but I definitely hate Iowa fans.
Kid, I agree that adults shouldn't act like this, but do you realize what you're in for at Alabama if you don't produce? And even if you do, you'll get the kind of crap there that would make an Iowa fan blush.
Trust me, the blow back you get down there is 10X what you'll get at Iowa.
