Dudes, it's cold all the way down to the Gulf.
Yep. They are saying this week will be the coldest run-up to Christmas in years.
I noticed that even down here the record lows for this time period are mostly from 1983.
I remember the week before Christmas in Omaha in '83. Cold as f__k.

Next few days. Perfect for signing day!! GBR!!
Really cold for us here in Eastern Washington. Single digit temps. We’ve had about 8-12 inches of snow on the ground for a month. Yes, we had a white Thanksgiving. Another 6-8 inches of cold smoke fell today. Weird thing it was warmer, the temperature was 20 degrees at the top of our ski hill at 7000 feet, than it was at our house this morning. Our house‘s elevation is only 880 feet and it was about 8 degrees. The top of the ski hill also had 44 mph winds. No wind in town.

We need the moisture here. Lincoln is dry as hell. Snow and rain wise.

Been a cold December compared to recent years past, my stocked wood pile for the winter is approaching half used, not even 1/4 through my burning season. Guess I’ll be firing up the chainsaw again soon, but in temps this cold , time to hit the ice and slay some gills.

They used to call it Global warming until they realized that narrative doesn’t fly. Now it’s “climate change” 🤣🤣.

several weeks ago I thought it would be a good idea to treat my sons and buy tix for the Chiefs vs. Seahawks game Christmas Eve. I knew the weather would be a gamble, but didn’t expect this. It’ll remind me of the Big XII championship game in 2006.

Last year on Christmas Eve it was 70 degrees and I golfed here in KC.

Is the texas energy grid up for the challenge this time?
You know it's not. The whole rest of the country is on one of two multi-state energy networks, but Texas thinks it is special. So every time we have extreme heat or cold the whole thing collapses. The last time Gov. Abbott blamed it on wind turbines freezing up, but that's easier than saying: "We're paying the price for our arrogance."
