I still think he will be a force to reckon with.

Who knows though. Maybe “Get lost, kid, so I can make room for better players than you!” made people question his character.

Sure as hell would have made me as a parent think twice. The national stories yesterday about their shunned commits surely hurt him

Reminds me of the Calibraska days with Bookie and Parsons where it was all flash and nothing landed.

I think what makes people question his character is his character. Your first clue is "Coach Prime". When you insist on being called by your alter ego, you're sketchy from the get go. He had the greatest group of talent ever assembled in JSU's division and still choked with it. He won't get that advantage in P5 at CU So he better find really good coaches, which he isn't. He had the Jimmy's and Joe's but his coaching wasn't up to par. He won't go far at CU. 3-4 years and win or lose, he'll move on. And he won't do it quietly. He's already setting up his tenure at CU as a reality show. What could go wrong with that?

I agree there are too many CU threads, but the fact is we are playing them the next two years. If that weren't the case there would hardly be a peep on here about them. That and the fact there so called fans are mostly complete douche bags.

^^^^^ This... I'm all for NU proving it on a Saturday and watching the meltdown that ensues
The meltdown would ensue if they beat us.

I'm pretty sure Colorado football has right in the neighborhood of 9 or 10 fans total nationwide.

That's one reason why I think Sanders was a curious hire. He's betting the farm on his personality coupled with NIL money (the main theme of this recruiting cycle for Colorado was sports cars, bags of cash, and Sanders selling gear with his nickname on it). Where does all that NIL $$$$ come from with the limited interest the football program has?

Colorado is my favorite state. My wife grew up in Boulder. Prime was the flashiest hire this season. They are as big a rival we ever had behind the Sooners....tons of Huskers go to that state just to buy hash brownies, plus we play em in a few ahort months....face it, they're interesting. At least to me....so I'll keep yakking about them.

Exactly….selling crap with Prime on it tells you all you need to know.

Also CU doesn't seem like a school that prioritizes football, does football make money for them? Have they had many sellouts since we were there? Where would the NIL money come from, I really don't see the eggheads giving money to the football program when they could be using it to hire another gender study professor.

The hate on Deion here is really strange. He instantly elevated Colorado’s program. I’m not sure any other coach outside of elites, could have the program in the shape it is right now after a couple weeks. His ego? Every coach has an ego and presents it in different ways. His culture is what you have a problem with. Deion has maintained relevancy and was a cultural icon worshipped by the parents of current recruits. He is putting together a good system in Colorado. Game day coaching? Who knows.. Deion isn’t new to football. These same arguments were used against Frank Martin, he turned out alright despite a tougher mountain to climb.

I hate neon deon, cause he was free shoes, dallas crackboys and now cu...
but as a person he seems ok...I would acctually like to see him beat alot of folks..except us of course...and maybe except tcu and utah ..I like them 2 teams...but hopefully he beats usc, oregon and the rest...

I kinda don't like he talks to Jesus about not paying a full car repair bill..
but, he tells players to shut off their phone and pull up their pants, so thats ok
he's a hellva athlete and never really done no really stupid stuff..
but he showboats more then my liking..

kinda a mixed bag with him

Yep. It's quite obvious what it is.

Sanders is lot like our former head coach.

Expects panties to drop simply because he enters the room.

Look how wound up Sanders got in the video attached above after he got a handshake, but not the servicing he thinks he's entitled to, from Eddie Robinson Jr.

It is weird and creepy how some people faun all over him. He has accomplished nothing as a coach at a major collegiate level. Maybe give him a season or two to form an opinion before anointing him as a coaching messiah?

Coloradans are in general complete douche bags. When my daughter was competing in Club Volleyball at regional qualifiers, the parents of the Colorado clubs were by far the douchiest people we encountered.

I had Deion Sanders posters and shoes as a kid. I’m sure I still have Deion Sanders jerseys and football cards laying around somewhere. I still have some Atlanta Falcons shirts. I wish I could go back in time and tell eight year old me how creepy I was being.

Probably not a great example… you just described all 8 year olds who ever lived.

You can do better than this.

I’m telling you the reason people are “fauning” over him. I’m excited about Colorado. Never had a care in the world for the Buffs one way or the other but now they are one of my favorite teams.
Spoken like a true Colorado fan. Don’t ever care about their team but when something “good” happens, all of a sudden they are one of your favorite teams.

I am all for people on here to stop complaining about threads on Sanders and CU. Colorado is an old Big 8/12 rival and they beat us twice under Frost. And they are from a neighboring State that has some decent football talent within the 500 mile radius it would be nice to poach once in a while. We play them again next year and they just hired a high profile coach who has the potential at least to attract some flashy and talented guys to CU. I think therefore that there are plenty of reasons to want to discuss it. And if you don't like it, then don't read those threads. Just like I never read the "what are you listening to now?" thread. I could not care less so I just ignore it.
