I like our guy better. MR has coached at small schools not expected to win. LF has only coached at the big program in their conference. People should quit worrying about what Wisconsin is doing. We made a great hire. This doesn’t change that

My original list from the start of the search was Urban, Fickle and Aranda. I was also very fine with BOB, Rhule, Kleimann, DeBoer and a few others. Funny though. I don’t feel like melting down. But then, I’m not a know-it-all. I’ll at least reserve judgement till we have some games played.
@king_kong, somehow a coach that goes 6-6 at Ohio State is not a failure, but a coach that wins 11-12 games a season is?
similar to Mickey's Huskers post-frost, the Panthers look like they're about to win their 3rd game since firing our new coach after he won just 1

Right. If it comes down to these two, you go with Rhule for the task at hand. Trev looking for a rebuild veteran to pull the program off the basement tile of the BTW.
Welcome the challenge. You of all people should be elated with the infusion of better coaches into the Big 10. You constantly ***** and moan about how bad the Big 10 is. Shouldn't this be a positive addition to make the conference better?

There's some talk about Urban Meyer going to Cincinatti because he played there in college. Probably wishful thinking by Cincinatti fans.

Fickell's name has been #1 with a bullet every year for the last 3 when it comes to the coaching carousel. that did not change this year, and it's massively disappointing to me that trev was not able to sell what fat barry alverez was

I know we have went back and forth on this. We all want the same result. I'm good with Rhule. If it was Fickell I would have been just as good with it.

I also would have been happy with any of: Rhule, Fickel, Urban. Urban was always a long shot fantasy. It appears Trev targeted Rhule over Fickel and he got him. So far, so good.
The beautiful thing is that the 2 programs were pretty equal this year

You can’t compare how the teams were just this year. Nebraska is in need of a total rebuild. Not Wisconsin.

UW has been crap the last 2 years and doesn’t have a QB. I can and will compare the 2 directly starting next year
We have as much talent as almost any program in this division.
Rhule can reasonably be expected to be responsible for Ws and Ls against the sorry *** west division and CU next year
