Not sure what the fat guy physique has to do with anything? Frost was a weight lifting buff bad ***. How did that translate to coaching and wins? Oh that's right. He sucked as a Head Coach. Lol

I am an actual fan, not a blowhard homer

Fickell would've been a grand slam. we settled for a corporate ground rule double.

So, what's your goal "actual fan"? You gonna ***** and cry if we don't win the Big 10 every year? National title or bust right? You need to relax junior.

Most programs determined to be good are willing to do whatever it takes to get the best available coaches. The Debbie Downers believed NU shouldn't have even tried getting Fickell. I'm happy overall with Rhule, but Fickell was a home run hire. I hope Rhule can out recruit Fickell. We'll see what happens.
I really don't care that much if a coach has offers to go elsewhere after a few seasons. That means they are winning and the program is doing well. I got sick of hearing we shouldn't hire certain coaches if they might leave.

real fans don't like when their program has the rug pulled out from under it one day after an AD with zero experience hands the next 8 years over to a guy who's never won a conference

and this is the cherry on top of 2 terrible decades

"fans" like you are why this keeps happening. you & several other hook swallowers would fit right in with the lapdog reporters on the Husker beat

Yes. This. What's not known is if Rhule or Fickell was our #1 target.

He won the regular season Big 12 championship at Baylor and won the AAC championship in his 4th year..

So you’re way off on the never won a conference championship stuff..

I'll he shocked if Snow is not the D.C. His defenses have been the strength of Rhule's teams at Temple, Baylor, and Carolina. Defense has not been the problem for Rhule's teams, it's been the offense. Snow is old but he's still a damn good coach IMO.
