Kiffin’s trolling would be funnier if he beat good teams. Instead it comes off as just immature

The best way to punch back is to win games.
I think he’d do that, though. Don’t you?

Don’t get me wrong: the next head coach can have the personality of Al Groh and Kirk Ferentz combined, as long as he wins.

Personally I put very little stock in words said these days. To me, actions always speak much louder than words. So fancy words/speeches just aren't on my requirements list for the next head coach.

Well, to concede the point: Scott Frost had a few headline grabbing sound bites now and then (usually directed at the former coaching regime or players wearing hoodies, but still…), so you’re probably right. Just win, baby.

if kiffen leaves to auburn, then ole miss will need a coach, and there's one in jackson state miss. and ole miss may not be the pressure cooker of auburn..but it gets one in the sec close to alot of talent, if one is a coach without alot of head coaching expereince, but can make up for it in recruiting

If Auburn hires Kiffin, he will continue to get assblasted by Alabama/LSU/Georgia, and Auburn will fire him in 3 years because they have unrealistic expectations.

imagine if Oklahoma State cycled through coaches because they weren't winning National Championships. That's how ridiculous Auburn's boosters are.

I still wonder how these early reports affect the actual outcome sometimes. I'm not sure Les Miles wouldn't have gone to Michigan if not for Kirk Herbstreit breaking the story on SEC Championship Saturday. He was forced to talk to his team. Lane probably won't be bothered.

Didn't something similar happen with Tom Herman and LSU?

It wouldn't surprise me if Lane leaked the rumor in order to get a big raise and extension from Ole Miss.

That would be my guess because the timing of the rumor and the signing of a contract extension are eerily close. More than likely his agent leaked the rumor to get their contract demands met to push the signing.

I'd expect a whole lot of that kind of crap going on now which is why there are so may rumors out there.
