Had John Cook been given the job football would not have been this bad.

1. If frost was retained under Cook this year Frost would have respected John more and put in the work. Cook could have mentored Frost without the burden of volleyball. Frost and Trev never respected each other and it showed at the press conference where Trev publicly scolded Frost as his arms were folded.
2. If Cook decided not to retain Frost after last year he actually knows what it takes to win and lead a championship program. Cook is more concerned about winning and Trev is more concerned about NIL and “the brand”.

The AD is not the coach.

The volleyball team might go in the crapper without John Cook. John Cook is where he needs to be at, coaching a winning volleyball team.

He would have brought his winning standards to football and volleyball would be fine with busboom

I forgot. That has made a lot of players qualified over the years. Riding the coattails of TO.
He saved UNO's athletic department. He had to make some tough decisions, even cutting their football program for the greater good of the athletic department.

So that made him qualified to be the AD at Nebraska? Why not look for someone who has hired successful coaches or ran successful programs.

Trev did what the regents and UNO admin asked him to do; get UNO athletic dept back on track $$$. Trev had to make some heartbreaking decisions to get UNO where they are $$ today...with upgraded facilities. Many will hate Trev forever for that.....but the disdain should be towards the mismanagement year after year before Trev was hired at UNO.

Has Trev even been at UNL 2 years? I think its more like 18 months. And we know the mess Moos left us in.

I never played D1 sports; have never worked in an athletic department, have never coached D1 sports. Sure some posters on here who present all knowing as they have done it all.

Trev is in charge until Ronnie/Carter say otherwise . And that will not be anytime soon...he will be given time to right what he hasn't been part of in the past.
