Here is clarity for you. The Coleman commit doesn't mean jack- **** for the program.

Some of our fans are so self loathing that getting a highly ranked 4 Star athlete committed is now somehow a bad thing...

No. I love it. But watch the "commit" closely depending on who the next (not assistant), but Head coach is.

And I am not self-loathing. I am practical. Wait for the new head coach first. He has not signed ****.

Surely we could improve the oline to at least average over the off season right?? 😅
This will be the key to everything, but a tall order.
Need new HC, new OL coach, new S&C, and as many transfers as we can possibly muster to shake up the competition and establish reliable depth.
The coaching part of it is probably the easiest fix, the transfer part the most challenging. They’ll need to be savvy finding diamonds in the rough, or hope some NIL offers could lure more established talent.

Hopefully with the right OL coach hire, we can get there.
That position coach hire needs to be taken very, very seriously.
It’s pretty much the exact same story on DL.

I don’t think our talent is great, but I’d put the blame at 65%-70% coaching issue.

… oh yeah and Welcome Malachi!!! GBR

I have always liked your posts here. And since we are the only two posting (and apparently drunk) I agree.
Chuck, you may be drunk, but I haven't had a drink of alcohol since 1979, and I don't do drugs, so whatever I post is done from a totally sober viewpoint.

If they start by firing Duval.

Then NU could have Teddy (if he can get healthy and stay healthy), Nouili at LG, Corcoran at C, Lutovsky at RG, and Benhart (ugh) at RT.

5 guys with some experience but they all need to have a dramatic improvement in their physical condition, and footwork and develop an attitude.

In a perfect world, they could become an average OL.

It's possible a couple of the incoming freshmen could contribute or one or two DECENT OL could transfer in or be recruited out of a Juco.

I’d probably put Corcoran at RT and Piper at Center.

As we all know, NU likely doesn't have even one "good" D1 OLman. A collection of subpar, can't move their feet, out of condition, can't run type of guys throughout the whole OL room.

It’s a mess for sure. But I do think our disaster of a S&C program is making it worse. Hopefully some of these kids look better with better S&C and we get an influx of talent from the portal.
