That’s what got us here in the first place. I will leave Solich out of this convo as he is one of us. But from the Pelini Mafia to Smilin’ Mike and the whiff on Scott’s glass, we have unfortunately been bamboozled. Mickey Joseph is the answer.

Smiling Mike had a great attitude. He just wasn't a very good coach.

I sincerely like MJ., but it strikes a sour cord when he stands there and says, “Purdue was better prepared” it sounds strictly like coach speak. Of course they were better prepared, but why? That was why he was put into that position, to properly prepare this team in a way that Frost never did. Yes, there are some improvements, but are they long term? If they can’t win the next two, Alberts needs to be prepared to move on to a coach who will add stability and save this recruiting class.

I didn’t hear his comments but I would take it as him putting the loss on the coaches. He’s not gonna call out the players, so he’s not going to say we don’t have the players on either line to compete in the BIG.

The comment was valid though. We got gimmicked with their run game. They continually moved line man in the opposite direction off their back and our D-Line ate the bait. Purdue doesn’t beat us if we can continually drop 8. They had to have a running game to compete. Rutgers actually has a better running game then Purdue. Our defense line didn’t follow the ball, they got fooled. It was a desperation move my Purdue and it worked and with an awkward size back like Mockobee, it’s hard to tackle that kind of back when you lose position. If the D-Line follows the ball and not the dude in front of him, he’s toast most of the night. So yeah, Dawson failed to prep his guys for that. MJ not blowing smoke. He’s being real

And to add to my post, I hope Mickey and Whipp took notice of ways to be creative in the run game. Coach Osborne use to do that all the time. He’d take things other teams did to us that gave us trouble and use it against other teams.

It is coach speak he’s not gonna throw the players under the bus and say that they are less talented. He’s just covering for them that’s what his job is. But I’m pretty sure behind the scenes he’s addressing their problems to the best of his ability

He doesn’t have to throw anyone under the bus, just do what Frost never did, coach!! A good game plan, plans for whatever they could throw at us, or it makes adjustments to cover your issues. They didn’t do anything in the second half that they didn’t do in the first, we just couldn’t make the right adjustments. That’s coaching. Three of their touchdowns came off missed tackles, that’s coaching, we’ve had that issue all season. I don’t mean to criticize, MJ is going to be a great coach, he doesn’t show that he’s ready. Other than one game all the ones left are winnable with the players we have, so just scheme it out right and win.

You are going to judge Mickey on how he does with players recruited and (un)developed by Frost? Doesn’t make sense to me. I think you can already see improvement in the team since Mickey has taken over. Mickey is not going to get a better O line or faster linebackers until he can get to the off season and recruit some better players. What he can do is coach these players that are already on the team better than what they have been. I think he has shown he is capable of doing precisely that.

Piss Pour = Pre-Madonna
Pre-Madonna = Disco Music… Get down on it by Kool and the gang is Pre-Madonna

Piss Pour = is a ****** pour. Went to the pub last night for a pint of guinness and the barkeep did a piss pour. My pint was only half full. or

another definition is when your really drunk and you miss the toilet.

But Pre-Madonna and Piss Pour, sorry not the same thing

I said there are improvements, improving the o line and defense isn’t on him as much as the assistants. But to say that you don’t expect better play from the o line after eight weeks of working together with their peers and the line coach in practice is a “Frostism”that doesn’t hold water. Don’t you think that Alberts will judge him somewhat by the play he sees on the field.
