Getting a lot of air time tooJaimes in at center for chargers now!
No joke lol no pressure on the dude or anythingGetting a lot of air time too
I know most people want to put Herbert at the Josh Allen/Patrick Mahomes level, but I don’t see it. I guess I‘ve watched too much of him since his days at Oregon. I hear a lot of talking heads talk about how the Chargers are just a step away from being elite. Somehow they always fail to get there. There are some who are finally questioning whether Staley is the man to do it. What’s with Keenan Allen? and Joey Bosa? They are always hurt. That salary hike the Broncos gave Wilson worse and worse every game. Two odd coaches coaching against each other. Don’t know how Ekeler stays alive, Herbert consistently leads him into contact on pass plays
Urban MeyerCan't remember the last time a first-year coach was fired in-season, but Hackett is sure making a good run at it. Everything about him screams incompetence and the team seems to invent boneheaded ways to lose games.
Give some credit to the defenses and the scheme. The donkeys blitzed often and well. Didn’t really give him much time. Wilson’s O line is not great though eitherit's amazing how stagnant many of these NFL offenses look when there is equal athletic talent on the other side of the ball to stay out of terrible mismatches - huge difference when compared to the college game
even the chiefs and bills looked a little limited
while Tenn-Alabama were shootouts where you would presume the defensive talent is top shelf
I know right? When the hell did that happen?!Center? Who knew?
The body language of the Broncos in the 4th Q was pretty telling. Hackett's 1 and done...not sure who the new ownership turns to next, but a Sean Payton/Russell Wilson marriage wouldn't be the worst idea...not sure how long the Saints have him under contract for thoughAs a Broncos fan I now know what it feels like to be an Iowa fan.
Michael Severe raced about Jaimes’s feet and mobility coming out of high school. We need more guys who can move like Jaimes.I know right? When the hell did that happen?!
I think there’s a huge locker room problem with Wilson. He missed some open receivers last night tooThe body language of the Broncos in the 4th Q was pretty telling. meanwhile, Pete Carroll just sitting there cackling, realizing he could very well make another run in the next 2-3 years with the draft capitol they've accumulated...they shored up OL, brought in a dynamic RB, have pretty good WRs...Denver set themselves back a decade with this move if something doesn't drastically changeDenver is phucked. This year is a total loss, Wilson not nearly worth what they paid for him and will continue to pay...and I don't mean money, but very high draft picks, for several seasons. Their only hope is Wilson comes back next year with his hair on fire, and healthy, and in better shape. But that's next year....cause the Chiefs and Charges ain't going anywhere and the Raiders could still beat em next time to.
I don't think Payton comes back this year and I don't think he wants anything to do with a washed Russ. The body language of the Broncos in the 4th Q was pretty telling. Old Pete is a bit of a West Coast Belichick. Don't count him out.meanwhile, Pete Carroll just sitting there cackling, realizing he could very well make another run in the next 2-3 years with the draft capitol they've accumulated...they shored up OL, brought in a dynamic RB, have pretty good WRs...Denver set themselves back a decade with this move if something doesn't drastically change
Well Urban, so should we add Hackett to the Husker list(sarcasm for anyone not catching it)? I'm actually okay with the Hackett hire, and maybe he learns how to manage a game. His play calling isn't that attrocious, Wilson's execution is. The trade and contract for Wilson was moronic. Gave up a pretty good tight end in the process too. Patton is the one that I have huge doubts about. Can't remember the last time a first-year coach was fired in-season, but Hackett is sure making a good run at it. I'm not making excuses for Wilson, who's been nothing short of terrible. But unless the new owners want to eat 1/4 billion dollars right out of the gate, Wilson's not going anywhere right now. I guess it's not really Hackett's play selection that is dreadful - it's more about the team looking like a completely disorganized mess that can't get out of its own way. And while some of those problems could have been ironed out in the preseason, Hackett assured everyone it wasn't necessary.Well Urban, so should we add Hackett to the Husker list(sarcasm for anyone not catching it)?
