Illinois looked very good versus Minnesota. Their RB was pounding the rock and the Defense was aggressive and tackling well. Hope we come up with a way to give Thompson time and protection to get the ball to Palmer and other WRs and TEs. It was weird to see Rahmir for 2 or 3 plays just before half-time and then send him back to witness protection. He looked for the moments he was out there. He is a good blocker and receiver.
we are going to have to over-commit to stop the run and the secondary is going to be on their own
I think their QB throws well enough in those situations to be very effective

So a ranked team would be an underdog to a team that gives up 500+ yards per game and could not stop anything?
So, if IL has the same increase, they will have 307ish. Very well could happen. You know old Fat Bert will be watching the game film and see that one play Purdue ran like 20 times and got wide every dam time.

right now, undefeated #7 ole miss are 2-point underdogs @ LSU, a team that cannot stop anything
it is not even remotely out of the question that we could be a slight favorite or pick 'em next week against a team that has not played anybody, haven't been ranked in forever and has no passing game
LSU is and has always been one of the toughest places to play at…Even more so for night games which this isn’t..
Nebraska was at one time a tough place to play but not since Riley/Frost era’s..
Nebraska most likely will be a slight underdog or TD depending how healthy Nebraska gets back on defense..
side note: Ole Miss has only beaten LSU twice since 2010..

Given the fact we don’t put enough pressure getting on the QB is the real problem…
They’ve played one team with offensive efficiency in the top half of college football
their other 6 opponents are somewhere around 100th in the nation
we don’t know anything about their defense yet

Every opponent of Illinois (save IU) has said the same thing. After their beating and inability to score - they want their coach fired. Perhaps Nebraska will fire 2 head coaches, during the season, in 1 year?
Illini will have Josh McCray back to help take some of the load off of Brown, too.
This could be another mismatch in time of possession. Their run game will wear us down.
