Most college linemen in person look like tubs of goo ..,,
All it takes is a 5-10 minute viewing on YouTube of both Piper and Corcoran to see what has become of these kids after 4 years. Piper vs. Boone Central illustrates his physical speed versus his now plodding self.

Piper was dunking a basketball, playing OG pulling and moving kids, and on defense, he was running down QBs and chasing down RBs. In high school, he was listed at 280/290. Now 4 years later he's listed at 295 and looks soft as hell.

Corcoran was quick, pulled well, and had good wheels. Now nothing but a shadow physically.

And yes, there's a difference in high school and college and I don't disagree a lot of college linemen are tubs of goo.

This is true. We have to just ride it out. We lost by a TD on the road with what we have. Imagine what we could do with just an average line!

True enough sir! For an old geezer like me, it just seems impossible that the NU tradition of smash mouth linemen being thrown off the chart or just being ignored is just insane. After Devaney, TO and even Pelini & Solich we ran the ball and just kept winning.

But no, not anymore, we just bring in losing fluffball coaching machines like Clownahan, Riley and so on. God help us.

when dr tom left it went from great to good then when milt left it went from good to ok, then when bo left it went from ok to look away, look away!
Agreed. Its just unbelievable how bad the Oline has been every single yr. Just the law of averages would say that even every once in a great while Neb. would get a good Oline

It was mind blowing to me at the time that Frost would have hired an unproven OL coach. Just made no sense when Frost's job was on the line.
And everyone with a brain knew Raiola was gonna fail. Yeah, let's hire a coach to learn on-the-job at Nebraska vs. a proven coach with a long track record of success (see mickey Joseph, bill Busch, mark Whipple, etc.)

Most of the new coaches he brought it were proven commodities and it has shown in the performances on the field....except offensive line.
