KU defense looks no better than we did when we played OU…

Love his offense scheme but we need to get back playing tough defense..

Yeah he definitely can't bring his defensive coordinator here, but Leipold has a great offensive mind.

Yeah that works well in the B1G…. not like the B1G is more a defensive conference or anything…. maybe he’ll make the B1G defenses have to adjust to his offense like Frost said they would to his. 😂

a leipold doesn't change its spots

Yep, not a good showing. OU does have superior athletes and bruised pride. They responded this week as you would expect.

He has a great Offensive Coordinator, but he will probably be the next HC at KU if LL leaves.

Oh OK Boomer… KU does well “Look @ LL and what he’s doing”. KU does bad “ it’s not LL’s fault. Everything is well!!! EVERYTHING IS WELL!!!”

So who ya got? The coaching search is kind of the elephant in the room for a Husker message board
Tom Osbourne jumps out of his 1995 time machine, Bob Deveneey's zombie corpse comes alive after some Halloween voodoo, Uncle Urbie or nothing at all. No other corch is worthy enough to patrol Tom Osborne Field's sidelines.

As a matter of fact, each time a current candidate's team gives up a first down, they should be the scourge of society.

Bill Belichick doesn't even deserve to corch the walk-ons or the old JV team.

I really don’t care. Any adult that actually shows up to work, and has any personal accountability will be an upgrade over the last 5 years. I’ll leave the gnashing of teeth about any candidate to the same posters who were so sure Frost is the 2nd coming of Osborne. I’ll support whoever it is, as long as they can function as a human adult

Bill Obrien’s offense didn’t score on their first possession - cross him off the list

OU ended up with 701 yards and 52 points. That weird sequence at the end of the 1st half kept OU from completely blowing out the game.

In LL defense, or lack thereof, they're not too long ago from a winless team. I seriously doubt this is a team loaded with 4 & 5*'s like OU is.

I'm more interested in this simple question: does he get more out of the athletes he has than what most coaches will? The answer to that is a season long review, not single games here and there.

As far as this single game, I'd take their result over ours and I'm sure he could increase his talent base at Nebraska than what he can do at KU.

That being said, he's not my first choice but is a solid candidate

He's definitely a solid coach, and should be a candidate for the job. He may not be the miracle worker some were touting that's all. KU's defense is putrid, but only talent can fix that.

They were down by 21 and didn't fold up. Kept coming at them to the very end.

No. He's doing his best in a tough situation. No matter what happens the rest of the way, the blame does not fall at his feet. But if they win a few of these, he does deserve credit.

For real, some of you have lost your minds. The grand total of anti-Mickey fans is zero. But for some reason, if a poster is unwilling to fully commit to him after 2 narrow wins over the bottom of the BIG, and are waiting to see how the remainder of the season goes, they must not like him. Some of you are hanging on way too tight.

This is why I kept saying let’s wait and see what happens with all these coaches Husker fans keep taking about.

The more and more I see, the more and more I think Joseph might be the guy. But we have to wait and see, just like we do with everyone else.

Not the best performance defensively, but worth noting that OU is top 10 in talent composite while Kansas is #72, right in between UTSA and Arkansas State.

the separation in talent between the two teams is the same as the difference between Ohio State and Colorado. Now picture Colorado is missing their starting QB yet keeps a game with Ohio State respectable.
