How many wins?

How many wins will it take for MJ to be seriously considered for the HC job ?

You think? I think he will surprise people. I think he will get more than Frost wouldve. Im cautiously optimistic they make a bowl
I was optimistic before he fired the d coordinator.. now I think the defense will quit and Busch will have a very hard time keeping things close for the offense. So after the move made on Sunday, I don't see any positive momentum going forward.

Naw , the defense is woefully lacking talent. Nothing matters.

it is lacking talent, no doubt.

we will see how it goes.. if we don't get blown out going forward, then I am wrong. I'd like to see us succeed, so hopefully I'm wrong about that.

I have zero faith in the defense. They are weak, slow, unconfident, and undisciplined.

Bush has 1 NC rings as D coord... he will have an impact. He has coached with Urban and his defenses has finished well in passing defenses per the Carricker Chronicles

Bush has 2 maybe 3 NC rings as D coord... he will have an impact.
really? I had no idea he had defensive coordinator experience..

just went and looked, he was a d coordinator for Utah State in 09-10

most everywhere else he is a special teams or db coach..

So there is some validity to what you're saying, but trying to make it sound as if he was a 3 time NC D coordinator isn't true either.

2022: Nebraska (Special Teams Coordinator)
2021: Nebraska (Defensive Analyst)

There is no reason that with proper scheming, replacing a few non-hackers, and players buying in, all the rest of the games with the possible exception of MI cannot be won IMHO.

I'm willing to give him a couple games which begins with this bye week, 2 games, then another bye week. So he will get almost a month to see what, if any improvements he can bring to the defense.

Once NU plays after the 2nd bye week, maybe there's improvement, maybe not. He does have a lot of experience on that side of the ball. As much as anything, Urban Meyer hired him twice, so there's that.

Maybe he'll be a DC that will tolerate missed tackles, maybe he won't. Until Gifford, Hill and Hill are 2nd teamers NU has its work cut out.

The question is does NU have 4 defensive backs that can actually cover and tackle among a group of 22 DB's?
