I heard this in my head like a PC version of “b__ch please!” So now when someone says a coach name we don’t like we respond “Leipold please!”
Do not think for one second that Bill O'Brien is not under serious consideration. The dude can coach and he can recruit.
He did beat Wisconsin, but our last two coaches were Pac-12 guys and were massive failures. I'd prefer someone who has experience coaching in the Big Ten, and/or the SEC.
I'd recommend you investigate O'Brien more. He is a grade A a****** and would wear us out quickly. I take no pleasure in hating my head football coach.
I see him as damaged goods. He just wants back in the game as a head coach. Nebraska would suffice in his mind.
The media in Nebraska would bend over for him for at least a couple of years. NU would be a good match for him. After Pelini he would look like Mother Theresa

absolutely. Cosgrove at least was logical and able to communicate. A HUGE part of his problem was that Pederson had forced Elmassian on him. Elmo couldn’t teach a bear to eat huckleberries. Horrible DB coach.

That is a fact. Several aspects of Husker football hampers any rebuilding efforts. We need a program builder. It's not a beauty contest.
I agree! I should have made it clear that Bill O'Brien is definitely not my first choice. I just wanted people to remember that the dude worked a small miracle at Penn State and that he can definitely coach and recruit. Therefore, if he is the choice and becomes our head coach I will be a bit disappointed that it was not someone else, but will still be very confident that he can turn this program around.
BOB is the ultimate retread that will have been run out of town by his last two fan bases...I am tired of Nebraska making coaches rich with no results to show for it. Hard. Pass.
