Urban is the lone (available) home run hire out there. His name alone would almost guarantee to bring in top recruiting classes. The other two don’t have his resume.
Let's just make sure that if Nebraska hires Urban Meyer, that he commits multiple NCAA and ethical violations the Nebraska way...
I like Urban, however, who in their right mind would think he would come here? Washed up Dan Patrick? Urban is not stupid and I'm not sure even he would turn this place around as long as these stupid homer, in-bred "Nebraska Way" hicks are running the show.
Somebody better notify Tev about something, because he better make a quick move from basketball on down or his *** is screwed as well.
The guy would retire again halfway through season one. He couldn't handle losing one game a year at Ohio State.
I would rather wager that he would quit a couple years after winning a NC. He's worth the risk, few are.
Bob Stoops is another interesting name. Great resume. Maybe he’d want to give it a go in college again?

I despise Meyer. That hire may be one that pushes me over the edge. Same with Gruden and Peterson. What about calling Deon? I knoe..I know...

Unfortunately I think this is the very attitude that will keep Nebraska from looking at UM. I don’t think they’re interested in upsetting that crowd.
How do you possibly think UM would give NE any kind of serious consideration? That's just laughable.
Well, if you hire Urban it is to restore the program while working to prepare/groom his successor. Could work IMO but who knows what direction this next chapter will take.
Could we get Brian Ferentz? He has his group playing well. Seems to be home run for someone.

If TA hasn’t contacted Gary Patterson’s agent already, he is foolish. Patterson’s defensive focus coupled with his Texas recruiting ties, is exactly what Neb needs. He has one good HC stop left in him, and would be a very good hire if he is willing to leave the state of Texas.
Remember when you won anything that matters? No neither do we. Stay content with 7.5 wins a year and getting blasted 42-3 conference championship games. We missed this last one apparently but Pelini who was avg as it gets owned your ***. So we don’t need Urban to do that, just can’t have the last two disasters. You can come here talk as much as you want but you ain’t winning anything either. Enjoy the pinstripe bowl if you get that far.

If Tim or Todd was at Iowa he would get another year. Got to stay the course ya know. 2o plus years of the good captain kkkirk has produced a lot championships. So yea if we did the Iowa method pry would get another year.

Nebraska never relied on the option. It was a part of the offense, it wasn't THE offense.
