Or does Scott Fraud get fired on 10/1 and we limp through the rest of the season? I say fire Chins first thing this AM have Busch be DC for OU. Can’t be any worse

At this point, I hope they can get the firing right.

I think everyone knows Frost is out. But the interim succession plan is important. The thing to remember is that this is about the team. We need to work hard to keep their dignity intact. Stop bashing them.

See if we can recover a bit, we'll limp through the season until we get a new staff. We won't have a new coach until late November. We don't have anyone on staff currently that we want to be in a permanent job. The new coach may keep some guys, but most of them will have to go. It's the nature of the beast. I don't want Mickey Joseph thinking he has a chance at the job because he doesn't. In that case, it's probably Whipple the mercenary. He's got a rally the team and the coaches and carry on to the end. We still have to play every one of these games, miserable as it is.

Don’t see the point. Rip the bandaid off. Are we worried we’ll be a worse one win team?

Everyone knows he is done. This team will fall apart if he stays almost another month.

Frost is toxic at this point. If you are more concerned about the feelings of football players then they should not be there. This is a big boy sport and if they do not understand this then this is why the program sucks as bad as it does. Msn up or move out.

That all sounds very reasonable. However, in my humble opinion and with all due respect, I think you are wrong. I think we need to fire Frost immediately. I thought he should have been fired a year ago after our opening loss to Illinois. This damn thing has lingered long enough. Enough of this extended goodbye tour. And you are right that we need to care about these players and this team. But what is more unfair to them than to have the next two or three games overshadowed by the Scott Frost getting fired soon watch and all of the turmoil? The best way to honor these players is to end the melodrama and to give them a chance to still salvage a season. As for Whipple or Joseph I do not care. I think you put in as interim coach the guy you think has the players respect.

I suppose if anything, it's unfair to the players to knee-jerk it. At the same time, based on their play, one almost has to wonder if most of them don't enjoy him as a coach.

I'm just so very excited to once again watch the bevy of transfers, players' criticism of the fans for "not supporting us," and blah-blah-blah. Frost's expectations must be incredibly low, because his demeanor after every loss is pure ambivalence. He just doesn't seem to really care.

It's almost like we've done this before...🤔

I think most of us support the players and some of the staff but the missed tackles on every play is nauseating. The penalties etc. Fire Chins today minimum. Put Busch in at DC. I think the players will play for Joseph so it’s when you fire Scott.

I think it’s safe to say I speak for most of us when I say we’re tired we’re emotional we have nothing left

I didn't say when his firing should happen. I just want the succession to go OK. The whole thing is volatile. I don't want the team to quit and to lose any players we'd like to keep just because our fans can be irrational asshats. We need some real leadership right now.

I hope Trev has game planned many possible scenarios. I hope he's on the phone with Frost guiding him to the inevitable with grace and class.

Drubendall, I'm not worried about the firing. It's the hiring that's got me a tad worried.

I kind of disagree with you about the interim succession plan. It's not about THE team. THE team is made up of individuals who happen to be wearing the same uniforms these 6 months. I'm pretty sure their DIGNITY will be just fine however this shakes out. I think they all know it's big boy football. After far as BASHING goes. I don't think we should be calling players names or threatening their families, but this is a big money business. With NIL(NAME,IMAGE, LIKENESS), it's an entirely different game now. Put up or get out.

That's my feeling, and I'm sticking with it. Or at least until someone changes my mind. :)

One does hope that Alberts and Frost are communicating and that Frost now knows that he is going to be fired no matter what happens over the next three weeks. One would hope that after last night's ugly loss Alberts was talking to Frost about the need for an exit plan with the softest landing for all involved. Personally, I think the softest landing is to not let this linger and to just fire him now and wish him the best. But... 7 million. So there you go.

Chins was brilliant last year and now he's the doormat. A coach doesn't go from great to horrible in a span of nine months.

Sorry to disagree, but last year the defense had chances to help win more games, and like the offense, they couldn't get it done when it counted.

Not sure about this. Is this guy telling the players to fair catch everything or are the players too timid? We still don’t have a clutch FG kicker.
Fair catches don’t bother me. Will more then likely be a penalty on return anyways. Every school in America would love a kicker who could kick 50 plus yard FGs consistently

I don’t think Chinander is terrible. True he had a lot of talent and experience last year and it is truly missed this year.

This year there is still some talent but a lot of new faces and they are inexperienced. They are always out of position and miss on tackles. Clearly on Chins and the Defensive staff for not fixing. Those things I do blame him for this year.

If I’m Frost I’d hope that they’d fire me today so I could get the extra money. If I’m Nebraska I’d also hate to give the extra 7 million to him. I’d wait just for spite!

He wasn’t great, he had a bunch of 24 year old players , they could cover up his flawed schemes, and.when the games were on the line he couldn’t stop anybody even with those veteran players.

Can't Trev say to Frost you are fired Oct 2 but we no longer need you to come in? That's how I was let go. Nov 10 I was laid off but they kept me on the payroll until Nov 30 without having to work. My severance kicked in Dec 1.

I'll be shocked if anything happens tomorrow, but at the very least Chins needs to be sent packing.

Brilliance? FFS, there was nothing brilliant, let alone good or even above average under Frost. Not a single thing.

Rumor that Rhule could be fired by Carolina this week. They know they don’t want him, and letting him go get a college gig helps with the buyout.
