Back in those years we had hope in guys like Bo and Scott, but there a nobody to save us now. Tear it down, start over with a new blueprint.

If we lose this is it possible we don’t win a single game? I hate to think that’s possible but now that we can’t count on the defense, it could happen. I just don’t want it ending like 2017 where we gave up 50 pts a game.

I guarantee if we lose today the team quits and it gets ugly. Like train wreck into a children’s hospital ugly

Just watched the PC. Frost is clearly shaken, this game would have officially ended his career at Nebraska. Don't know how the team is going to survive the season when the HC is shaking in the PC.

He is quoting Ted lasso. Not joking. Our coach gets his inspiration from Ted lasso. Reason 2000 he is lost. Seems jittery. Aged 15 years in 5.

It looked to me like he is sick or has the flu.

There’s obviously something wrong. He looks like I feel after watching them play.

I'm not sure what he has going on with his left hand there from 0:50 - 1:50, and 2:45 - 3:00, and 6:05 - 6:20 but he spends a lot of time back there and then moving to his face.

His actions almost name this thread for him. Maybe it's a nervous tick.

Scott is feeling tremendous pressure. I wonder what happened at halftime. First time I've heard him talk about "with my career".

As October 2 approaches, I'm not sure if he can last mentally.

He's hyperventilating most of the PC, he can barely catch his breath. Maybe it's the cocaine?

Maybe meth. He's very fidgety and fast talking. He gave up smokeless tobacco for something heavier.
There’s always the possibility that he got into some bad snatch in Dublin and doesn’t know what it is or what to do about it…

That along with game days must be one hell of a situation for him.

I'm not doubting Frost's love for Nebraska. My guess is he is shaking because he wants to win so bad, but nothing is working out for him. And he probably hates the fact that Whipple was forced on him and runs an offense he doesn't care for. Seeing the season slip away and not being able to even run the offense his way might be driving him crazy and make him realize he is done here.

He was given all the chances in the world, but he just doesn't have it as a coach.

Okay...some of you are just getting creepy now.

This is what a lot of you did with Bo too...
I had to watch that based on the comments and I agree. We've got some guys with wild imaginations on here.

He started off fidgety but settled in. He's clearly at a loss because the team is not executing we'll. There's a big disconnect somewhere.

I suspect this game made him nervous. He knows it should not have been close and it only gets tougher.

Also, the wedding ring is off, FWIW. That's also a lot to deal with.

Unfortunatley, he caused a lot of his own misery.

Scott isn't the first coach to be on an extremely hot seat, nor is he the only coach with possible turmoil in his private life. He's a young man, he'll be just fine.

It's unfortunate he managed to get himself placed in this position, but, as head coach, success and failure is measured in W's and L's.

He's close to at least being honest in this PC than he typically is with his words.

Thankfully Grant did today. Not winning without his effort.
Grant started being successful (unfortunately) on a busted play after giving up on holes being where they were designed to be and giving up on the o line. He started looking to make things happen himself

I think this is accurate. Frost clearly had a lot of nervous energy in that presser and was probably filled with all kinds of conflicting thoughts and emotions. He knows Nebraska and its fans and he knows how important football is to this State. He knows they scrutinize everything. And he knows his job is on the line, and even his future career as a coach anywhere else. And he probably knows, despite what he said here, that he does not have (right now anyway) a good enough football team to be competitive in league play. He knew that we were almost beaten by a team we should have dominated. And so there he was, voice shaking and out of breath, fighting for his career.

Scott was so much more animated in the PC.

It had to be just relief from having won a game where the fallout would have been off the charts for Frost.

A football team that looked like it was desparation time at the start of the second half, is a terrible way to try to play, yet NU was a much better version in the 2nd half.

I would imagine that almost every week is going to be a rollercoaster of emotions for him.

Years ago, I had this horrible human being as a boss and she made work horrible. One year she seemed to single me out as here whipping boy, she was well known for picking out one or two teachers each year to destroy.

Well, one year it was my turn...and for about 3-4 months of that school year I can honestly say that each day going into school was just horrible, there were days when I literally felt sick from the **** she would do.

I would imagine Frost feels like that but just 10 times worse because of the attention.

My first duty assignment in the USAF I had a fat ***, loud mouth, mean ***** who was my boss. She loved to make my life miserable. Three months in, she received orders to Florida and I sent her pay records to Iceland, where military pay records seem to vanish. I loved doing that and making her life miserable while it took 2-3 months for those trying to figure out how to pay the *****.

The feeling I had after the game yesterday was similar to what I felt after Ball St 2007, S Dakota St 2010, and McNeese St 2014.

A handful of board members go way back with Husker history. Here's a quick little history lesson on why some of old time fans are just a bit spoiled and why we can get pissy watching bad Husker football.

Tom Osborne coached from 1972 to 1997, 25 years.

In 25 years, his teams lost a total of 49 games. 49 games in a quarter of a century.

AMONG THOSE 49 LOSSES WERE: Being beaten 11 times by the eventual National Champion.

OU (Won 4), FSU, M (FLA), CLEM, GA TECH/COLO co-champs, PSU, ALA.

In addition, Tom's teams won 3 National Championships.

So, in 25 years NU either WON or was BEATEN by the eventual National Champion 14 times.

That doesn't include getting beat 4 times by OU, M (Fla), FSU, and PSU in the last minute.

We had an amazing run!!

The worst I could come up with Devaney was in 1968 Lost to K-State 12-0 beat Colorado the next week and lost to Oklahoma 47-0 ending the season…

It really is amazing. I wonder how many times he lost as a fav and as a double digit fav.

Maybe...6?

We were teenagers, I can't believe Steve Owens scored about 4 t.d.'s and couldn't outrun me.
