Northwestern wins 17-14. An overconfident Thompson forces two passes into too tight windows, one leading to a short field and one pick 6. NW manages a field goal also. NU has confusion on offense, run game never really takes off and manages to score in second and 4th quarters by Thompson running more than hoped. Time expires after NU misses a 56 yard game tying FG.
The Skers can't kickoff and let NW have some lameass 8 minute drive that ends in a TD and then the Skers go 3 and our...5 minutes left in the first quarter and NW has the ball at midfield with a 7-0 lead.
If NU takes a 10+ point lead, this game will look similar to last year. NW can't pass.

Prediction: closer than we'd like BUT while protecting a single-digit lead in the 4th quarter Thompson DOESN'T throw a pick and DOESN'T fumble and we win 21-13. Jeezus. I predicted an NU win but if you've been watching for the last fours years and you still feel it's required that a fan predict a victory then you haven't been paying attention. Fandom and reality clash at a certain point.
