I don't expect to see him play this year. I'm hoping he comes on strong next year and is all Big 10 the year after.

Rumors that he'll be able to practice full go by the end of September. Tifwiw.

I think he comes back this season but I’m kind of hoping he would consider not. Seen too many guys rush an ACL and it never fixes properly. He is currently one of those guys

guys like Fidone are the reason I believe the program is cursed. We should have an elite TE but its looking more like we have a could have been. Hate that for the kid. Hope I’m wrong. But why I don’t want them to rush it

I forget. Did he injure the same knee as before and if so did he injure the exact same ligaments that had been repaired before?
No inside info. From what I've picked up it was the same ACL, but only a partial tear this time. Again tifwiw.

Thanks. And I thought maybe I was just out of the loop or not paying attention. But my memory says that there was very, very little in the way of specifics that Frost released concerning the injury.

I do love his attitude. He was the drive that is needed to make a proper comeback.
Hopefully, his body cooperates.

I'm predicting that he and the doctor's say it's a no go this year. I can't wait to see this kid stretch the field at full strength and confidence. I truly think he'll be a game changer.

I don't know that the university is allowed to comment on health issues unless authorized by the affected party HIPPA. I find it difficult to understand why Fidone doesn't just come out and confirm what the injury is but continues to tweet about coming back and all the other BS. Stop the "look at me" crap.

I would love it if the team would worry less about bragging on social media and growing their beautiful hair out and just shut up and play. Care more about how you play than how you look. Then maybe our team won't fold like a cheap tent in a 20 mph breeze every time the pressure is on and players won't drop their head or point fingers when they give up a big play.

HIPPA doesn't seem to apply to Covid.

I suspect that he is being encouraged by the university, his family or both to stay away from health comments to keep those questions at bay into the future.

Lots of successful teams (most?) have players bragging on social media and grow out beautiful heads of hair... they just don't have Scott Frost and Adrian Martinez. I feel really good about one being gone and the other handing over most of his game-day decisions.

You would be surprised how many entities do not have to follow HIPPA. If I read correctly, a University doesn't seem to be required to.

This has nothing to do with Hippa , for the 100 millionth time , Scott Frost said he will only discuss a players injury if it is season ending or with that’s players permission,( When he said Adrian played with a broken jaw for a month)

Probably every team has some of that. And I'm not opposed to any of it really. I just think this program needs to step away from the mustache contests and try to put some of the individualism on pause for a season. Of course, for that to happen, it would be best if it were player-led with team unity. Do they have team leaders? Yes. Do they have players who are willing to be led? In the recent past, not enough of them. And therein lies one of the problems.

I'm with ya. It's sad when you realize that we've been so bad for so long that we literally don't have anyone in the program that would know much about leading a successful team. I'm crossing my fingers that it's CT, he sounds like he's a lot more interested in being a leader and that can go a long way if his play justifies it.

Posts like this piss me off… at least tell the truth.

You should have said “Then maybe our team won’t fold like a cheap tent in a 5 mph breeze” then I would be fine with your post.

Have a feeling this kid is done and will never play a down. Hope I am wrong.
