I know it wasn't St. Andrews, but whenever I think of the Open Championship I think of Jean Van de Velde! One of the most brutal moments in sports I have ever watched live.

That was brutal. I remember that as well. Things was locked up and all of the sudden, toast.

Worst choke I've ever seen in sports. For crying out loud...use a small iron and lay up. Tap it up there 3 times, and then 3-put it in. Don't take out a driver and then another wood or big iron and try blasting it as far as you can when there's water and tall grass possibilities. 😳

With the future of golf being guaranteed long-term contracts....there won't be nearly as much pressure to win. So we won't have to witness chokes anymore. It can be a more relaxed atmosphere like the current NBA. Just go out and have fun.

When -20 wins a major championship it’s time to either toughen up the course or put a windmill and alligator mouth on it. They have that super long rough, bring it in close to the fairways and let it grow.

Weather conditions were abnormally conducive to low scores this year. And as usual, they are all playing the same course so what makes the difference?

Obviously you know nothing about golf , the weather conditions were as perfect as you are going to get for the open.As far as other majors if the weather conditions are perfect, these guys are capable of bringing any course to its knees !

Noticed that NBC did not give much face time to the LIV golfers (e.g. Dustin and Bryson).

Cam Smith was money putting on the back nine.

Why would they give time to golfers so far back in the race? Jordan Spieth didn't get much either.

Dustin tied for 6th (-13) and Bryson died for 8th (-12). Even before the leaders started, there wasn't much coverage of these two. Sergio, however, did seem to get face time.

I watched the entire broadcast. Both DJ and Bryson got as much time as their play deserved and they were interviewed.

Cam Smith is having the best putting/iron combo season I've ever seen. When he gets hot, he gets white hot. He shot an over par round and still won at 20 under.

I'll be a sad panda if he goes to the LIV tour as rumored.
