I believe there is one more Fountain coming up after him, currently in 6th grade or so. Might as well offer him too šŸ˜‰...

It means nothing. Just something for the kid to brag about while we keep our name front of mind the next 4 years.

The older brother Kale is a sweet kid and a hitting monster. Sincerely hoping he ends up at NU. BTW, Kale was one of the best hitters in the state last year as a freshman. You can be tongue in cheek all you want about recruiting kids this young but these Fountain kids have talent that jumps off the page. Getting in early is the right approach.

I was wondering about the competition he would face in high school, but it looks like Norris plays a pretty tough schedule.

Plus their level of competition in the summer is the highest possible. I don’t know the details but Kale at least has played in Florida.

Personally I wish the NCAA would put in a rule saying kids can't get offers until after their Sophomore years. (Start summer of their junior year.) I would do it for all sports. Just an arbitrary, let kids be kids type of deal.

We have a Fountain of an NIL deal for these boys. Ok, I'll see myself out.

Over the past 5 years Norris has had some amazing baseball talent roll through....any reason behind it? Or is it ramdom?

I don't know. A school that I keep thinking is going to start kicking *** is DC West but it just has not happened yet.

I have been out of state since early 1991….what is DC West? Wow have I lost track of all the Lincoln schools added. Don’t think Skutt was in Omaha yet. Nebraska has changed a lot!!

DC (Douglas County) West is what became of Waterloo and Valley.

Yeah, Norris lost the younger Reetz boys a few years back to Elk South and didn't skip a beat. Now both are playing at UNO. (The oldest was an early round draft pick- but he finished out at Norris)....

Yeah, they are terrible. Their whole field was majorly flooded a few years ago, that didn't help....

I feel like 10 years from now Linoma Central HS is going to have forfeit a Class A Championship to Yutan because they brought in some players from Venice.

If these kids are that good , probably not Going to college anyway, but give it a whirl.
