I think we pretty much have to win the Big Ten West this year to have any shot at him. Scott has hardly done well getting alumni's kids on campus. But then again most of the alumni don't like Scott as a person and know he isn't getting it done and their kids have wisely gone elsewhere.

Whatever it takes to make you happy.

FYI, NU is ranked #3 in terms if NIL money.....

This blows me away...I had replied to this thread when it was new asking if we could compete at the NIL level for a kid like Raiola and deleted it, then you post this. I do find it hard to believe though....curious who the comoanies are, that are forking over this cash, and what players are getting what. Article made it seem like this was football only, and we have been in the dumps for so long it doesn't seem like a wise investment to me....but I inow zilcho about this subject.

You mean we lost one alum’s kid? And dad’s axe to grind had very little to do with Frost.

I can think of Clester’s kids… I’m sure there may be others. Can you give names? I’m drawing a blank right now. Maybe Burrow, but that wasn’t because he didn’t want to come here…

Yeah, how many have truly been D1 P5 talent that we lost?

Huffman (BW Coach) stated that if Joseph was on staff when Keegan was in HS, Keegan would probably be at Nebraska. That leads me to believe it wasn't Frost as to why he didn't come here.

Benning's kid just received an offer to Iowa not too long ago.
Yeah, was there on an unofficial. I think Damon is staying out of it from an influence standpoint. Let Caleb make the choice that is best for Caleb.

Originally it was thought that Caleb was going to be here on Saturday for the Spring Game. Damon stated that he will be in Indy for a basketball tourney, but I could have heard him wrong.

I’m not surprised Caleb was offered by Ioway and I’m sure he will also get offers from other schools but it doesn’t mean he has crossed Nebraska off the list either..

Not necessarily true. He's a 2024 target. Show vast improvement in someway this season (7/8/9 wins with a bowl win) and convince him the tide has turned plus with his Husker roots there is a shot

He's looking for an offensive fit and I'm quite confident he's looking for a fast tract to the big league. If and I hope it's not a big if Whipple can show Dylan Nebraska will be a contender soon Nebraska has a fighting chance, why else would he bother visiting.

It really helps that his uncle is the OL coach and his dad loves Nebraska and is in his ear and right there it gives Nebraska fans hope. It really does hinge on Whipple showing Dylan Nebraska has the offensive fire power to help him with his future aspirations. jmo

Landing Dylan seems like quite a long shot, and as others have said, certainly hinges on showing serious upward trajectory.
But the fact he’s making multiple trips here early in his process is still great to see.

Someone like Caleb Benning still seems absolutely in the picture by all accounts.
Doesn’t mean we’ll land him, but he hasn’t blacklisted us to my knowledge (a la some recent local standouts).

Really need to focus on cleaning up our product with the pieces we got in order to ramp up any recruiting potential.
Reality is the entire staff is still hanging by a thread until we prove capable of winning games.

I think landing Raiola will depend on getting some DL transfers. Not sure how much improvement there will be from a win total standpoint if the DL is gashed non-stop.

Last year we field a good, not great, defense. But pair it with horrible special teams and a bad offense with an atrocious o-line.
This year we address the offense, o-line, and special teams, but the defense will be the weak link due to d-line.

The biggest positive is his dad knows exactly how great Nebraska can be to a player. He knows and can tell his son exactly what he's getting in Lincoln.

Wonder what Fant family has said to them re the racist culture that has come to light. Believe the mom tweeted in support of those speaking out about the issues that were going in there

Probably not much. Noah’s mother passed away last year (or 2020). I worked with her.

Raoila’s daughter went to TCU to play volleyball. Worries me. Wouldn’t she want to play for Huskers?

To be fair, it's just Mike Farrell's opinion. But I tried to find another list of schools and nil ratings and couldn't find one. There are any number of lists of individuals and their nil stats, but no other ones related to a ranking of schools. 😠

Proud papa's interview before the Spring game was a bit telling.

He fondly remembers his days at Nebraska, and said time and again every Saturday at Memorial Stadium was special. His hat read "Run The Damn Ball".

He wasn't gloating about Nebraska. He wasn't making a statement about his love and adoration for Nebraska football. All his sentiments were past tense.

I think he wants Nebraska football back like we all do, but he won't sacrifice his kid's future for a 4 and 5 win cellar dwelling team.

Ha big chasm between TCU and NU volleyball-wise....in volleyball, NU selects, not recruits....
Wait…isn’t it hard to get top recruits to NU due to our location, population, (please click the drop down menu for other excuses why NU cannot compete in recruiting).
