Macho Man Randy Savage vs. Ricky Steamboat with George The Animal Steele interfering and Miss Elizabeth left shocked outside. Doesn't get any better than this. Ok, Mick Foley and the Undertaker in a cage match was better but this is pretty cool old school stuff here.

Same reason you loved D&D. It is good fun for a teenager. Stone Temple Pilots were nothing but the Nickleback of the 90's rock scene btw. They were a little bit Lou Reed hanger on, but their junkie lead singer was a total douche. Just saying.
Lou Reed sucks.

Never played D&D.

STP is gold.

I have said many times the Willie Nelson show I attended at Stir when he was 81 was the worst performance of a headliner. Allison Krauss and Jason Isbell saved that show from not sucking, because Willie was HORRIBLE. The second worst headliner I ever attended was STP at Westfair soon after Scott Weiland got out of prison. Dude was the worst. He dynamited the whole show. Thankfully 311 followed them to keep the crowd from rioting. Scott Weiland was not one of them sad rock stars that died stories. Nobody but ten die hards really cared. He was a douchebag junkie that never acted like he came from meager beginnings.

Now you do I guess? Not sure what you know about me though. Who were the ******** going in? Weiland? Willie was just too old to perform live. Nothing more or less. Scott Weiland was an ******* junkie fresh out of prison that hated what he was doing that day. You were there that day I bet. Several people I have talked to since then were there and agreed. Getting back to the original post.....

Saw Jane’s Addiction at AkSarBen had to be around Summer 91. They were pretty forgettable.

Ok, back on track…

I was way too young to make this a confident validated comment but after seeing tons of joe sweibeck commercials like this then going to boat show at civic auditorium I could have sworn that our parking guy that day was joe

About as far back I go is the Bulldog Bob Brown and Rufus R Jones days but the 80's WWF was my jam. Now that I look back on it, the old AWA and NWA was so much better. As a kid though I just felt like I was getting a cheap fix when WWF wasn't on TV and didn't truly appreciate what I was seeing. Laughing

Back in the day when I was in high school, one of the local Omaha stations carried wrestling matches live in the studio, I think on Friday nights. Maybe KETV?????

There was a woman, Mrs. Miller, I think, who loved the good wrestlers and hated the bad wrestlers. She always had a corner seat at ringside and would pound the mat with her hand or purse screaming at the bad wrestler.

A couple of buddies and I (think we were 16 or 17 at the time) got liquored up on Grain Belt Beer and went to the wrestling match with the sole intent of picking a verbal fight with Mrs. Miller.

She got so wound up at us that she said she was going to come over and slap the stupid out of us......all while the march was going on. One of my buddies, who has since passed, offered to give her the first punch.

Two Omaha cops on security in the studio came over and gave us the bum's rush out of the studio.

Fun times.

bobby the brain was so great on the mic. my favorite line was when shawn michaels threw his tag team partner, marty jennety, through a glass window and the brain says, Jennety tried to dive through the window to escape.
