No way they can pay him the $20M+/year he wants. Hopefully, KC gets a good haul for him. This year's draft class is crazy deep at WR and KC just added JuJu, so I think the Chiefs come at pretty good here.

Great player but I hate giving up high draft picks. Therefore as a Jet fan, I'd rather he be a Dolphin.
Chiefs likely get a top 10 pick for him with a trade to the Jets. I'd be hoping as a Chiefs fan that he goes that route.
Looks like it's official to the Dophins. 2022 1st, 2nd, and 4th and 2023 4th and 6th. Dolphins already traded their 1st this year but have the 49ers pick in the 1st, so the Chiefs look like they'll have back-to-back picks late in the 1st. No pick high in the 1st round, but the past few seasons the Chiefs have actually drafted pretty well.
I hate the chiefs, but this was a good move. Hill's skillset falls off a cliff, and his off-field liability is fairly well known. kc will be fine.
real question here is - does Tua take a big leap forward for the 'Fins? they've all of a sudden surrounded him with some serious weaponry.

I just saw this come across my feed. As a Chiefs fan, I’m devastated. Hill was the glue, IMO. I can’t believe he was dealt. I don’t feel good about this.
That’s three quality receivers the Chiefs have let go in a matter of three years in Watkins, Pringle and now Hill. I get it that it’s all about the money and contracts, but you can’t keep letting your quality players go. Chiefs are screwing with their offense when it’s their sack-o-chit DL they need to be focusing on.
Mahomes, Rodgers, Dak and Zeke, etc….. all make winning more difficult by making that salary cap crushing $. Not blaming them, just facts. Spin it any way you want, but the Chiefs just fell back another peg. What an off-season. The NFL has went full MLB and NBA.
Chefs easy road thru the AFC west is no more. Competition stepped it up and they lost a major weapon.

Watkins and Pringle? Watkins is replacement level at best and Pringle… are you related to him or something? That’s the only way anyone could call him a quality receiver.
Makes for a more interesting NFL draft if you're a Chiefs fan. Mahomes has been billed as the best QB in the NFL. He'll get a chance to prove it with some different weapons. Hill was about the quickest WR I've ever seen, and he leaves a big hole. However, with Kelce still playing TE at a high level, Mahomes has still got some targets. JuJu is a good secondary option, although he's no Hill. Hardeman was actually drafted years back as a Hill replacement when it looked like Tyreek would be suspended. His skillset is similar to Hill, although he's never been nearly as productive. But the Chiefs still will have a very good OL, a great TE, and decent WRs. That's without any additions from the draft, and you know they'll add one or two WRs now that Hill is gone.
Right now I'm more worried about losing the Honey Badger than Tyreek. He was the glue on their defense. The Chiefs need to use some of their draft capital to upgrade their depth on defense. DBs are as big of a need as WRs.

Uggh...hate this but not shocked either. Myhomey's contract a year ago told us things like this were going to happen. Sucks more than normal cause the Raiders and Bronco's got a lot better....never seen so much star power move in an NFL off season before.

Kelce is on his downside as a TE. He has maxed out, and will only depreciate.
Chiefs need to find defense at their LB spots and get a big time possession WR. Michael Thomas would be an easy and great fit.
I wonder if those 2 first round picks get packaged and they jump up and take a top tier edge rusher or wide out. Or they could stand pat and take a less impactful wide out and an edge at 29 and 30.

Disagree. They were decent options. Watkins is better than you’re giving him credit for, too. It’s also about team chemistry, which Chiefs are dissembling completely on their offense. I can’t even keep track of their OL either they keep making so many changes.
Chemistry is a fair argument.
Everyone looks like a decent option with Mahomes throwing to them and with Hill and Kelce attracting all the attention too.
Watkins is still a replacement level WR. He had one 1000 yard season in 2015. He gets injured a lot, and when he’s healthy he puts up 40 yards a game. They can pick a WR at any point in the draft who can replace him and especially Pringle.
Pretty sure he did restructure his contract to give the team more $$ to spend.
But they weren't going to be able to pay Hill $120M.
I’m not saying Pringle was a deep threat, but he was a decent possession guy. Chiefs signed Corey Coleman at WR. I hardly know who he is. Now that’s a stretch signing.
Hate to lose him because he's so talented, but it was inevitable and they got good value for him. I think they'll be sure to get one of the top three wide receivers in the draft. Overall I'm okay with it. Plus, I hope his replacement isn't a degenerate of a human being.
Their offense line is pretty well set as of last year. Rookie Creed Humphrey is the best center in football already. Orlando Brown will be long-term at the left tackle. Rookie Trey hill is pretty good, and Joe Thuney is as good as expected, All-Pro they got from the Patriots. They cured their offensive line really quickly. I'd like to see them get a different running back though. Edwards Hellaire is average and replaceable

If the Chiefs continue to draft the way they have the last two years then everything will be alright in Chiefs kingdom. They have knocked it out of the park with their drafting.
Chemistry is overrated for great quarterbacks like Brady, Mahomes and Rodgers. Assuming the wide receivers aren't total trash, these guys have four or five options on any play. They can find the right guy when the play breaks down. They might start the year off a little slow but they'll round into form.
I dunno…Hill Is going to be hard to replace. To me, he was the difference between the Chiefs being a wild card team and a Super Bowl contender.
They got a great haul for him, but you can’t just plug another guy in and expect to get the same level of performance. I gotta think the Chiefs are going for a “Whole is greater than the sum of the parts” approach.
