Jays hanging tough but I expect KU to ratchet up the defense in the second half. Fantastic as Alexander has been, it’s just about impossible to beat Kansas with only one ball handler.
Would love to see Jay's keep up that three point shooting. Though that will probably cool off and KU will get easy baskets in second half. I'd love to see KU get beat, but think CU runs out of gas. Good first half, though.

Jays play their best game all year...KU plays one of their worst and in the end it is another Jay loss with Jay fans being happy. It never changes.
What kind of knowledgeable, highly sophisticated fans show up for Illinois basketball? Are they all in their seats 40 minutes before tipoff, with pen and scorebook in hand and wearing a Nick Anderson throwback?
My god no. Illini fans blame the refs for everything, they never think they get a call, they constantly complain and whine and ***** about anything that happens and they also trick themselves into thinking that they are "almost" a blue blood.
Add in the fact that they are self loathing and pretty much hate all other programs and are convinced that every school cheats and that for some reason the refs are all out to screw them.
Basically, they are annoying and babies.

When 2 of your best players are out and you have like 6 scholarship players left, and going up against a 1 seed. Yeah no expectation of winning that game. Was a lot closer than I thought it would be. Like I said a bit ago, if the big east defensive player of the year and freshman of the year aren’t out, that is a different game.
