Have a door where house flies enter?
Stop them from hanging out around that door
Put an unwrapped bar of Irish Spring soap near the entry point.
Has worked for me since first started 9 months ago,
here in Coachella Valley, the land of the never-ending summer.

Good point. For those that don't like mice in garage or entry into home, there are two really good things to do: Take a set of tennis balls, soak them in ammonia, put them around the entrance and corner of walls and no mice. Ammonia smells like cat piss and apparently mice fear there is a cat there.
Another is peppermint essential oil keeps mice and squirrels away. The smell is repulsive to them.

I think this is a good OP SoCal. We are arriving at the time when folks will be forced to do things they are unaccustomed to, and some knowledge before hand will be worthwhile.

Maybe the folks going to Dublin for the game next fall can bring back a few extra bars.

Before I moved back to the midwest I attended a Cornhusker function at the Thunderbird Country Club in Rancho Mirage. I read the little snippets of history they had posted at various spots in the clubhouse. I learned that the Ford executives including Henry joined in the early 50's when it opened. They were sitting around one day debating what their new sports car should be named and somebody suggested "Thunderbird". So that car name came from a Coachella Valley country club.

For those that like sharp knives, if you don't have a wetstone or a steel, you can take a ceramic coffee cup, turn it on to the bottom to the circular area and 3-4 swipes on that you sharpen it just like a ceramic steel.

Should probably take this over to the Open Scrolls. Thought I was there already...

Pro tip for all the complainers.

One time, I clicked on a topic that had nothing to do with Husker Football on the Husker Board link.

Nothing bad happened. I was able to either read about that off-topic topic if I wanted...or I could just not read it.

Either way, I was fine.

My wife tried that last year on our porch. She broke the bars up. Honestly it didn't work very well but the flies were bad last year. Don't let my personal experience deter anyone from trying it. Curious to hear others experience down the road

Don’t break them up. Hang 3 full bars above the door, multipurpose decorations.
