Not freshman of the year though. That went to the kid from Ohio St.

Just my guess but I think 4-16 likely was a factor.

Question, why would he go to the NBA as a 3rd team all conference player (besides the payday)? Would like to see him come back next year. How likely is that?

Why would he need a reason besides the payday? The worst players on an NBA roster - the guys who barely play - make $1 million per year.

I would like to see him come back too, but the chances are very, very slim.

Yeah I get that but this is just coaches and some media hacks voting on this stuff. He actual stats put him on par with the first teamers and honestly NBA scouts don't care if a kid won some lame *** "Johnny Try-Hard" award...

They just want to know if he is long, can shoot 3's, can finish at the rim and can switch on D

This is why professional sports should not be able to draft college players until after their sophomore year. I know injuries happen but I feel insurance policies to be put in place for players and that would be the colleges responsibility.

So, isnt Football actually 3 years out of HS. That would make him have to play 2 more seasons. I think all Pro Sports should adopt the MLB model. Can try out of HS, if you dont sign, you can come back, but arent eligible for a few years. And there should be a window for them to make that decision so that teams can “backfill” spots of HS kids that go pro.

I have to laugh at the young man sitting behind me at PBA that was booing Bryce and yelling over rated. The young man was wearing a Kominaga(sp) jersey. Where he found that jersey is a mystery.

For the record, Bryce was named Freshman Big10 player of the week after that game.

Who should have over him?
Jamison Battle and Payton Willis.

Minnesota stinks because they have no big men. Often out-rebounded by 20. But Battle and Willis are clearly better than McGowens. He's great for a freshman though, don't get me wrong.

Did you bounce all over the conference to let everyone know that Battle and Willis are clearly better than their players too? Or did we draw the short straw?

And didn't announce your departure from this board about two months ago, Goober? What's the holdup?

Let me re-word my reply so it doesn't get removed again. I will simply say that my posts about how hot chicks think wasn't directed at you. I wouldn't expect you to be interested in that.

It's not a big deal. It really doesn't matter that much. But anyone who thinks McGowens is better than Battle ought to have their head examined. Willis is better too. McGowens is a terrible shooter, and he's definitely not a facilitator. But he's good for a freshman.
