It's definitely better to have everyone sneak alcohol in and/or drink excessive amounts right before they walk in.

So, we will be able to add over-priced beer to the list of all the other over-priced concessions?

Good timing. After the last four years the blue hairs and bible thumpers won’t be able to blame the losing on the lord’s vengeance for serving up the devils brew

I love this but the best move would be to let local brewers/bars "buy" a tent for X amount each game and the U takes 10% of what they make.

Keep it local, sort of, keep prices decent, sort of, and let everyone win.

Does the University use non profit organizations to run their concession stands like other places or do they hire people to do it? If they use non profits, let them make the money where it for sure is local and not going to a business.

Thank goodness the boosters of substance can finally enjoy a cocktail up in the Memorial Stadium suites.

Now if they would get out of their own *** about gambling and weed we might be able to pull some nice tax revenue.

Was it a good move? Depends on whether we have a stadium full of happy drunks or whether we have a stadium of pissed off drunks? Hopefully more often than not, we get mostly happy drunks leaving the stadium.

So I guess there will be less consumption of weed, crack, cocaine, and other hallucinations that work to add the perception of wins. Hmm, this board is chock full of such addicts.
I see you left out meth. Iowans don't want to share their meth?

How much tax revenue does, say…Colorado make from legalized weed after adding in all costs of regulation and enforcement? I’m sure you can easily tell me since you make such an auhoritative statement.

“Hey Mike, you’re known to overindulge in alcohol….isn’t it great that they will sell beers at the stadium now?”

”Yes, Steve…as someone who regularly drinks before games to the point of drunkenness, I can’t wait to drink responsibly before games so that I can drink responsibly during games. You know? Its amazing, but thanks to memorial stadium finally selling me $10 beers during games, I no longer feel the need to drink before games, and certainly not to excess. No way will anyone have to worry about me adding to any drunkenness I already have, because I miraculously wont have any!

Plus anyone who diagrees with this is obviously an old prude who is worthless, as anyone knows old people suck and the only people who don’t like this must be old people who think alcohol is the devil.”

I live in Washington, it’s a shitpot of cash for the state. I’m not a user, but I support the legalization. I drink, so any objection to pot would be hypocritical.

Can’t bars/bartenders be liable for serving someone too much when that person then injures someone? Would that be the same for the university?

They're probably unfortunately going to have to do some safety updates in the 600 sections or someone is going to wind up in the sections below

Probably but I bet the "no sales after the end of the 3rd quarter" sort of saves them?
