I'm sure he's a good kid but glad we don't have to see him punt here ever again. The Montana kid is good. Hopefully he doesn't succumb to the ST curse we have going

We have a couple more to go as well, but I am sure we will see a handful leave after spring ball, if not sooner

Best of luck to him but can’t say he’ll be missed the Aussie one is next to enter the portal. it’s beginning to look more and more like adults are coaching this team

Having a coach may help some to avoid the curse- fingers crossed.

I think our specialists will be fine honestly. I'm most concerned with punt and kick return blocking. Our kick coverage will be okay. Mediocre at worst.

We need some game changing plays ourselves and then maybe we can go from God awful to above average or better.

Good kids but really the entire special teams haven’t gotten the job done. Maybe high level football is not what some of these kids really want to do. If more of them transfer out then it’s probably best for everyone.

The Aussie could be a medical scholarship candidate according to SC

Yuck. He should just start making cold calls and paying taxes.

Too much education is bad for people.
There can be diminishing returns for some people. I've known some people who have done extremely well in life who had WAY too many "letters" behind their name. I knew one guy who had MS, DVM, PHD and MD all behind his name. Brilliant guy but man. It seems at each level he was never satisified with where he was at with his career. I think he said he graduated from veterinary school at 21 and he already had his MS at that point. MD in St. Louis now.

An MD friend of mine here locally was a pharmacist, got his PHD and then went on to become an MD. Worked out for him.

This is the guy Mark Dantonio said in an interview that he couldn't believe Nebraska took him 🤔. I just remember him kicking more short punts than long ones. Best of luck to him!

Very inconsistent to say the least. I would rather have a guy who could consistently kick it 40 yards with good hang time than a guy who once in a while would blast a 60 yarder but shank every 4th punt.

Most people with advanced degrees in non-technical fields earn nothing more than the label of self-righteous douchebag.

You've a link for that interview?

“He’s a guy that was fourth in line there and I thought he did an outstanding job for us, a tremendous job, sort of being put on stage in the Ohio State game to start with,” Dantonio said.

Dantonio is well known for talking out of both sides of his mouth. It might be kind of hard to find the audio of him making an off the cuff comment about a punter but I would bet it was after the Michigan State game. Unfortunately we have had a history of taking now both a transfer kicker and punter who lost their jobs at their previous school because of their consistency problems and both cost us games.

There's a thread about it on RSS. Several members have posted seeing it and claim he said something to the effect I'm surprised Nebraska took a guy that wasn't gonna play for us. I'll see if I can find it but yea ding, seems like he's talking outta both sides of his mouth. I'm not gonna miss a guy that had four punts this season under 15 yards but could hit a 70 yd bomb once in awhile. That's gotta be ruff on the coverage guys not knowing what they're gonna get.
