Purdue beat Iowa and Michigan state when they were both top 10 teams… Tennessees best win was Kentucky but also got beat by Georgia state
Way to base your assumption on the name I guess?
if not for the refs, purdue would be down by 3 TDs

100 yards of "defensive PI" calls against tenn. been purdue's best play.

iowa and msu are right on par with kentucky, IMO, if not worse

Purdue seemed to have taken control of this game until O’Connell started playing Santa Claus. Two butt ugly INTs in a row.
Lol. Ugly.

That last pass McConnell just threw is the kind of play that makes you wonder about the possibility of some kids being on the take.

We’ll find out Saturday with one of them I guess. But what makes you think that?

an objective look at their bodies of work this year

none of the 3 have been very impressive or have outstanding players/units, especially with Walker not playing for MSU

I mean Iowa’s defense is pretty damn impressive.
Kentucky’s SOS is much worse than both MSU and Iowa. They also barely beat Chattanooga.
Idk hard to judge

iowa didn't play anyone all year. MSU had by far the best win of the bunch.

purdue is doing better than I predicted (1000-0), so kudos to them.

Yea I’m just going off espn SOS ranking. Kentucky didn’t have the toughest stretch either. Hard seeing Iowa win without Goodson tho

Purdue LB needs to find a different way to tell the sideline, “I hurt my groin again.” His current, uh... hand signal... is a gif maker’s dream.

This Tennessee defensive staff should probably figure out the refs are calling "defensive back draped all over the wide receiver" as PI tonight and adjust accordingly.

If they clean that up and start playing the ball instead of the receiver they'll probably win.

it's like the refs saw tenn's guys compared to purdue's small, slow ones and agreed to level the playing field

and that's what happens when you tell a kid he's not allowed to play defense.

what a gift.

15 penalties on tenn, 4 on purdue

I’m in favor of DBs being allowed to be physical, and I’m rooting for Tennessee to win. But #4 for the Vols is having the shittiest game I’ve ever seen. You have to have a football IQ above room temperature to play CB. He doesn’t.

Totally agree all game they were at the end of bad calls..
I thought the officiating was decent until OT, but that last call was awful. Play was right in front of the side judge, and the RB was not down or stopped. Let it play out, for God’s sake.

Yes I did, but God forbid I would dare to disagree with you!

I get tired of PI calls too, but you can’t freaking tackle WRs while the ball is in the air. Vols needed to bench that CB and put someone in who wasn’t a penalty machine.

I feel he was stopped. It was close and could of gone either way. Once he realized he wasn’t moving he put the ball forward. Close call. Good game

Yeah. I don't get that either.

Receiver out in route. CB draped all over him playing receiver as ball is released. Flag.

Fans:. "We are getting screwed"

It was a risk / reward technique for the Tennessee coaching staff that almost worked. That physical play in the secondary generated a bunch of turnovers but also a bunch of penalties.

I freaking HATE ticky tack PI calls, but the Vols’ #4 must have thought his dad was reffing the game. He was horrible, and deserved every flag he got.

Agree. #4 was tackling the wr on every pass. Hard to blame the ref for throwing the flag.

With A&M with Covid issues and not playing being Arguably the top 4th team ( since they beat Bama) in the SEC and Bama, Georgia and Ole Miss win their games I don’t care if the SEC has lost 5 games their still the best football conference...

To me, go ahead and pencil aTm in as a loss too.

They all cared. The whole, we didn’t care anyway premise is so lame.
No doubt. They all want to win. At least we have all been spared that godforsaken SEC chant after each game.
However, the SEC could go 0fer whatever and it wouldn’t change my mind regarding their dominance for what seems like forever unfortunately. The championships and drafted player data is overwhelming. Hoping Cincy and Michigan add fuel to your crusade.

I hate it when any conference, SEC included, blowhards about how great it is based the success of a couple of teams. And while the annoying SEC chant is the best modern-day example, the Big Ten wrote the book on “we’re sooooo great” gasbagging many, many years ago.
