In order for Nebraska to be considered -

all the 5 win teams would have to decline then

all the 4 win teams would have to decline then

all the teams with 3 FBS wins would have to decline
then

i would imagine Nebraska would be the crown jewel amongst teams with just 2 FBS wins

Small modification: Boise State not Fresno State. And Portnoy is no idiot when it comes to marketing and getting butts in seats for a _______-tier bowl game. Huskers fans would flock to this game even on short notice, perhaps more than almost any other school.

IF I were a college player I would drop everything and go play...but then I'm kind of crazy. Now IF we had 2 weeks like Rutgers got, I bet there would be a lot of our team that would want to go play.

This is the one game that would not be very popular with a large portion of our elderly fan base. Game wasn't even on TV. Asking our fans to watch a game on an app is a big ask. Digital tickets were an issue. That being said we can lose to anyone by 8 or less.

This game has now been officially scuttled with Central Michigan taking Miami's spot in the Sun Bowl.

Really a missed opportunity. Scott Stapp (lead singer of Creed) was the halftime performer. If you haven't seen the halftime show of Creed with the Dallas Cowboys, do yourself a favor and You Tube it.

I barely know who Dave Portnoy is. This thread got me curious so I spent five minutes googling. Couldn't find any mention of the allegations being proven false, other than he went on Tucker Carlson and said they were false. Sounds like he likes it rough.

Also won't ever be "proven" because nothing has been brought up legally and this sham of an article written by business insider is a joke
