No one will mind… if it’s run properly.People are going to be furious when they see how much he likes the WR screen game.
I hope Ron sticks aroundInteresting. Who knows what we will be running next year, but I can’t imagine Whipple would come here to run Frosts offense. Maybe a hybrid of his and Frosts? As long as Frost doesn’t call the actual plays I’ll be happy.
So, just the RB coach remains.
And by "run properly" you mean "works." Shout out to the lady a couple rows behind me that thinks every time the QB checks down to the RB it's the "same play."No one will mind… if it’s run properly.
I'd go with "Whip and Sip," but I see there's a BDSM wine club in Omaha with that name already.if the LJS doesn't have a new weekly column called the Whipple & Sipple brief, they're doing it wrong
We are getting rid of RB’s, 5 wide at all times.Interesting. Who knows what we will be running next year, but I can’t imagine Whipple would come here to run Frosts offense. Maybe a hybrid of his and Frosts? As long as Frost doesn’t call the actual plays I’ll be happy.

WR screens are great if you run them at the correct time (i.e. if your QB knows to check into the play when DBs are playing off) and if your QB can accurately zip it over there.People are going to be furious when they see how much he likes the WR screen game.
I love the wr screen game. Just need a QB who can actually execute it, unlike am. Receivers need to block tooPeople are going to be furious when they see how much he likes the WR screen game.
But you also need a downfield passing game that's effective enough to keep the defense honest. Otherwise you just end up completing a gazillion WR screens for minimal yardage - see Rutgers, for example.WR screens are great if you run them at the correct time (i.e. if your QB knows to check into the play when DBs are playing off) and if your QB can accurately zip it over there.
I am surprised that Frost didn't wrap things up and name the ST and RB coaches at the same time. Must still be some things being worked out. Maybe Busch and Brown aren't decided yet or there are some contract issues going on.
We just need our PickettI've been watching the condensed versions of some of PItt's games on Youtube. The more I watch, the more I like. He uses a lot of different formations, he uses an H-Back quite a bit, especially in short yardage and red zone situations. He also line them up in the Pistol sometimes, and a couple times used a fullback on the goal line. So it's not all 5-wide, finesse football.
He does seem to like to throw screen passes, though. And there were many times where Pickett would just make a great play out of nothing. But putting up 464 yards on Venables' defense is pretty impressive, I think they were the only team to put up more than 400 yards on that defense this year.
Yep, I'd love to be pleasantly surprised next year, but I'm not feeling it right now.Hope it works, color me skeptical.

Go watch the game against Clemson. #2 offense vs #2 defense..
