Interesting. A good football coach, but always some risk with a G5 guy.

If I was OU’s AD I would be asking for the same coach I would want at Nebraska in Dave Aranda..

Some are selling that Mullen got fired because of his record this year. Everything I read and hear says there was more to it than that.

Team seemingly quitting on him, bad (for Florida) recruiting, and seeing their rival to the North become a juggernaut.

its a risk when you hire anyone. Being a power 5 coach doesnt make you less risky. Mike Riley says hi

I think it is less risky, but there also isn't the upside. Mike Riley for example, was a .500 career coach and went .500 at Nebraska. With a G5 guy you can get them before they are an established name, but you never know if you are getting Urban Meyer or Willie Taggert.

The first four years should be a huge clue to all of us.
Don't worry. Be happy man. Cue the whistling Jamaican. What's the disclaimer for the investment companies? Past performance does not guarantee future results? We'll see what happens with a different OC, OL coach and QB.

Isn't this the same guy Dabo fired because they had no offensive identity and were predictable?

Didn't know big boy moves included hiring retread coaches at a price premium.
