You must be from eastern iowa. Iowa fans from Des Moines to all points west are miserable people. iowa fans would be better off if they simply realized husker fans will never view the hawks like they view the hawks.
I hope Smothers plays a clean and makes good decision game with no more than one turnover especially a pick for 6 kind of turnover..If this is accomplished I think we have a good chance winning this game..
Yepper.....I am in WAY Eastern Iowa on the Mississippi River. Honestly, I don't know anyone who thinks of the Huskers any differently then say PSU or Northwestern. It just has never been that way. But, I guess on the West side of the state they would have heard more about the Huskers over the years....maybe that is why?
I'm from out west and I love Nebraska fans. I especially love them every year the Saturday after Thanksgiving!
Yeah, I suppose having no real success over Nebraska head to head until 2015 and iowa having no real sustained success nationally ever, coupled with having to constantly hear about Nebraska football and the elite status of the program year after year would take a toll, but it’s been 20 years since the elite days and the program has had 6 losing seasons out of 7, you’d think they’d get over the butthurt already……
For sure. I have heard that in many places in western Iowa, during Nebraska's good years, the focus on radio and TV stations was always on Big Red. They would never hear anything about The BIG or Iowa over there. Of course, I am sure that also had to do with ISU being in the Big 12 with Nebraska and them also being so bad. Over here, we simply did not have many games against Nebraska to really form that kind of "feeling". And, once Hayden got things going for us, it was all BIG, all the time. As far as having bad fans, I think when it come right down to it, all fan bases have "Those" types of fans. The hope is that they are in the minority.
BTW, what does it look like for the Husker as far as returning starters for 2022? Thanks!

Sorry Hawkeyes I've no axe to grind against you guys but #2 in the nation, gritty win over #5 in the nation nitts then getting punked by a 3-2 Purdue was the most Iowa thing that Iowa could do so Iowa did it.
Looking like world beaters with a huge win one week then going down the following week when nobody is looking. With Iowa you can literally set your watch by it. I just get tired of believing in you guys.
Nebraska defense is not mailing it in but I would not blame them here in this one. With AM gone I just don't see the Huskers generating enough points to keep up with this pathetic Iowa offense.
Pulling for Minnesota Saturday to knock off the Badgers so Michigan can face Iowa in the big10 championship because...well...Iowa blows.

Iowa fan here, I come in peace. I think you will win tomorrow as one of my close contacts to the team has informed me that a bad flu bug is spreading throughout the locker room.
The Flu going around the country seems to have hit Iowa. According to people in Iowa City they are going to be hurting tomorrow with a lot of players not practicing or still sick this week.
I know two weeks ago the week of the ND/UVA almost all the ND roster missed time during the week & 13 players were ruled out the morning of the game. ND was fine against UVA, but I don’t think Iowa has that large of a gap over Nebraska & if they are flu ridden it will make a difference.

He's a damn good QB. Averages 300 ypg. The link was in the post, I'm sure you can find some negative stats as well. He's tough and effective and scares defenses. With the right coaching, (not verducci) and a solid pass pro line, he'd be fine. I don't want the Hawks to face him again!
