It won’t end well for Frost, but the football program will move on. Look at all the dead money spent on firing coaches across college football. At some point colleges have to understand that throwing more money at something won’t necessarily fix the problem.

Did Auburn really gain anything by firing Malzahn? How about Texas(lol)? Let’s see how Washington, Virginia Tech, Florida, and Miami look in a years time. What’s more important is getting the right hire and a years time should give Trev more than enough time to accomplish that.

Won't end well for who?

Frost most likely needs a small miracle for this to work, but if it doesn't he'll get fired and Nebraska will get a new coach. Isn't that what the OP wants?

In three years when Frost has won a national championship, I'm going to be happy to have a record of all the doubters who did nothing but try to hold him back.

Just kidding. I have a feeling Trev is going to give Scott two years to turn it around, instead of just one, but we all know it is going to go down in flames. No one with a rusted-out Ford Pinto that leaves a cloud of blue smoke everywhere suddenly discovers four years later that it has become the most reliable car on the road.

Isn't that what the schools you listed are trying to do? Getting rid of bad coaches in search of the right one? Or should Texas have just stuck with Herman and just hope?

Not sure you guys are the pinto though. With the MSU game, you were like a Ferrari that just had it's engine misfire are the wrong time or a tire go flat, etc.

Texas should have absolutely stuck with Herman. How is this even a question?

Might be time for a walk.

Go visit the Grandkids. Maybe go to Kansas City for a weekend, or visit Mount Rushmore.

Take some deep breaths and all your medication. Take at least a day away from this board. Maybe even a week.

I don’t have a good feeling frost will do anything different but the decision was made. I expect this time next year frost will have been fired. sometimes you just have to watch things play out
Or you can behave like a petulant child over something you have no control over. OP chose the latter. Not a great look.

Texas got rid of Herman and now he's on the list to replace some of the guys getting fired this year. I guarandamnedtee you that Texas wishes they had kept Herman right now.

Yeah Herman shouldnt have been fired although many believe he was fired for more than football results.

It depends on his record next year. Moral victories shouldnt matter anymore. We are now in year 5. 8 wins should be the floor. There needs to be significant inprovement in the only place that it truly matters; the win loss column

“Sure, you can spin this and say that since all 7 losses have been by single digits, the Huskers could easily be more like 7-3 instead of 3-7. But the common thread in those losses is that there was always something Nebraska comically screwed up to lose.

That’s the worst part in all of it. We didn’t lineup and get pushed half a foot at the goal line to lose a game. The entire universe came together to figure out new embarrassing ways to lose each game.

Isn’t that the truth..
Article is spot on with 2 things. One, it was too expensive letting him go and without question even though it’s been hard to swallow is if he wasn’t a player that won a national title here he would already be gone…

SF had Davidson talk Moos into giving him a seven year contract which has bit us in the butt.
5 year contracts from here on out when hiring a new head coach..

Yeah the extension was so dumb. Why give a guy who hasnt Proven anything yet an extension? It wasnt like there was danger of frost leaving
