Did y’all know helium is mined? And is subject to shortages? I tried to buy my daughter a birthday ballon several years ago and the helium lady at the grocery store told me. How do you mine helium? Is it just a bunch of miners with Mickey Mouse voices?
The United States had a billion cubic meters of helium in the National Helium Reserve in Texas. It was the only helium reserve in the country, and a strategic resource for the United States. But storing it was losing money, so the geniuses in Congress decided to privatize it. Helium Privatization Act of 1996 sold off helium at below-market prices and is the reason we now have a shortage of it.

Student government is a joke. It's a bunch of pussies representative of a very small percentage of students who actually give a **** about anything that goes on there.
And they become the Dem party candidates in a few years

One of the rare occasions where I can legitimately say "I don't care if there are or aren't balloons" at Husker games. I never bought balloons nor do I know anyone who bought balloons. This still being a thing or no longer being a thing doesn't impact me at all.

So is it safe to breathe in helium ? Seeing how they have to refine it… and it’s biproduct of uranium… seems like a bad idea

I'd rather they dial back the tunnel walk for only bowl eligible teams

Since the children are deciding that we can no longer release balloons, what we can say and read, may I suggest
we all be forced to wear the following while on campus and at games.

Then after the game we can head back to our luxurious state funded apartments.

I kind of feel being anti-littering would have bipartisan support. I ****** hate litter and go crazy when I see someone throw trash out their car window. Unfortunately the game day balloons are kind of littering via the sky

How many balloons do you see laying around on the ground?

I don't care much for littering myself but balloons aren't something I'd be looking to target.

libs need to clean up all the needles, and blue tarp tents, they have littered the streets with first
Now you’re talking. Something tangible. But no, that would require critical thought and it would be very difficult to accomplish. Much better to think up mindless nonsense while sitting on the crapper in the dorm. No way to get the Bluto’s to rally around something that will cut into spring break.

Of course this message board managed to turn balloons into a political issue.

They call anyone who disagrees with them "snowflakes" and then start crying when someone says they might take away their balloons. It's hilarious
