I know HCSF is taking heat from people but sometimes we need to step back and realize it’s not just about wins and losses. I have enjoyed the close games. So much better than when we used to get blown out by Wisconsin and Ohio State. You can see the players are having more fun too. Remember Bo getting into arguments with the players on the sidelines? That will never happen under Frost because the kids respect him so much more. I just implore everyone to trust HCSF and he will make the right call on the OC. If I see the players not play hard on Saturday then I will get down on Frost a tad. But as long as the players are competing and both teams are having fun putting on a good show then that’s all we can ask for. Go Big Red!!!!

It’s about the kids (players) having fun. The kids just need a couple more breaks and then we will be having even more fun.
A head coach for a college football program is employed to win games. They are not employed for any other reason. For the players, it's about growth as a person and those that rise above the others can get paid to play the sport and then the top of that group get the millions of dollars contracts.
If you want the oh "it's just a sport, blah blah BS" stick to high school football then.
HCSF hasn’t made the right choice on the last 2 OCs. I have a hard time believing he’ll choose the right one this time, but we’ll see.
good point, many think rome is built in a day. they don't understand it took dr. tom decades to win a NC...
and that was with alot..ALOT more options back in the day. and dr. tom took over from bob devaney, not mike riley. I recognize rise in competitiveness...and wisdom was shown in letting go alot of the pass happy offense, we all look forward to going back to the run, real NU football.
3rd time is a charm they say. This hire will put us over the top. Frost will Exceed expectations and get 10 wins before a bowl game next season. Trev will get credit but HCSF is the one who will deserve the praise. Big things coming to Husker Nation. I have a feeling the new OC will bring in not only a great scheme but great players. He/She will being a hard nose style but with some flare off play action.

It’s about the journey. When it’s all said and don’t we won’t remember the 10-3 Bo seasons. We will remember how HCSF started off slow but turned the program around and hopefully leads us to a big ten west division championship in the next 3-4 years. Doing it with class and sportsmanship.
In Year one he had a winning record, never less than 9 wins a season. Frost enters year five and can’t win 6. Yet somehow this is all unicorns and rainbow from a large faction of our fan base. Heck Bo and Riley put Frost’s won- lost record to shame.

We used to get blown out in big games. There is indicators of progress that show we are close. Once the changes are made we potentially can start winning these games by 14 plus points as long as the defense continues its trend. The data is there despite Trev not seeing it. But not sure he really meant that and just wanted to set the expectations low for next year because he knows with the schedule we could be a force to be reckoned with.

Has to be a troll post. Obviously there are legit frost supporters, but i dont think their logic is "as long as both teams are having fun". That line did make me laugh though il give the Op that.
I'm not so sure that Lubick wouldn't have worked if we had kept him and changed the O line and QB coaches. It smells to me that they fired Lubick because Frost had somebody else he wanted to bring in. I thought Lubick was responsive to concerns about short yardage play calling and man I loved some of the option stuff we were running. Was that Frost's call or was that Lubick's? It's tough to judge an OC when Frost is so heavily involved. My take is that Lubick was a convenient scapegoat. He seemed like a good dude. I hope he lands in a good spot and does well.

There is some truth in his post. I see things as far as guys playing hard to the final whistle that I haven't seen in Husker football since Frank was fired. That IS worth something. I see senior leadership from our D and at least the TEs. It isn't all bad. No defending of the W/L record but the "process" that Bo liked to talk about in many ways is as good as it has been for a while. The kicker is all the close losses.
