Their whole thesis is this person has to be currently connected to Frost, or have a connection to UNL. Isn't this the thinking that's gotten us into this jam? Lets bring in the outside world to shed light on Nebraska.

Man, that certainly isn't the list I would hope to see. I do like the Ciarrocca guy though.

Has to be a former Husker quarterback, of course. What's Jammal Lord doing these days?

I'm assuming they had to do this, as they said, what the heck while we're here......because they could actually come up with names and give the connection which makes stories interesting. And might be available.

The flip would be the story of this......Clemson, Georgia, Alabama, OSU type OCs and try to hire them.

It's an piece by the writer to write a story

I'll give whoever they name offensive coordinator a chance, regardless of who it is. Nebraska hasn't had an offensive identity the entire Frost tenure. Whoever they name as offensive coordinator, I hope they go about establishing an identity in spring ball and carry that identity into next season.

You mean you don't like the offensive identity changing from series to series and week to week?

I don't like being negative but I couldn't tell you one thing that this offense does consistently "ok" that benefits Nebraska. They'll sometimes put together a drive that goes the length of the field but then completely abandon anything they did well the second they get inside the 20. It's so maddening.

Granted I think the hire will be underwhelming, if it comes from that list it's worse than I thought and Frost might as well see if Lubick can get him a job at the ol' credit union. It's getting old already linking everyone with a Nebraska connection as a potential hire. My hope is he looking for the best available and being connected to Nebraska doesn't weigh into the decision.

Indeed. I'm interested to see how this search goes. TBH i don't really follow assistant coach searches outside of us. But I'd expect Frost to find best capable candidates vs a "buddy" or someone with a connection to the program.

He hired Tuioti who didnt have a connection to NU. Although I suspect Moos recommended him because his son was at Cal Berkley the same time Tuoiti was.

Joe Dailey as OC is one of the dumbest comments on Nebraska football I've ever read.

I'm not sure how secure his Alabama position is. A decent amount of Alabama fans don't seem to impressed with him..
I can see why if you just look only at stats and not who all they lost. Their team last year was loaded beyond belief.

They're averaging almost 70 yds per game fewer than a year ago. They've scoring just under 6 points per game fewer than last season. Last year, their lowest scoring game was 31 points (in the CFB playoffs), this year it's 20 (against LSU). Last year, they had 7 games where they scored 50 points or more. This year, that's only happened twice.

But the most important stat of all - 0 losses last year, 1 loss this year.

All that being said, they're still the 4th highest scoring team in the country.
