When talking to Sam McKewon said the run ins between Austin and Frost are well documented, but up until this point I’ve only heard of Frost going in the O-line room after the loss to MSU?

Does anyone know the well documented run ins he’s talking about?

He has said that a couple times during the last 2 seasons about frost and Austin.

Fair enough. What's the context though? Frosty chewing up Austin? Or Austin giving it back as good as he gets it? I always liked Austin as a player. He was under sized and his knees were completely messed up, but he could play.

If it was really "well documented" it would have been all over the place, including here.

Either it's not "well documented" or it's not really an issue. One or the other.

Yep, that is his MO, but I guess they've had quite a few yelling matches the last few years. Austin needed to go as our line has been **** most years under him. With our talent, they should not be that bad.

Well documented? If so why not explain more specifics. Odd way to present the topic

Severe's the best in the biz. They can drop those afternoon clowns anytime.
I'm not a big fan of Severe, but I agree on Bishop and the other douche bag. Bishop should just go to Creighton radio where people might give two ***** about what he has to say and the other guy should just quit as he sucks.

I used to love that afternoon show with kugler and severe. Now? Can't even TuneIn for 30 seconds before surfing away. It's that awful. I don't mind the guy on 590. Especially once his whiny co-host left.

There's no doubt about that. I just haven't been convinced that RPO doesn't put a ton of pressure on an o line when they're better suited to engaging and driving which plays to their strengths.

It ticks me off listening to the radio last night and now reading and hearing the media types weighing in that this needed to happen and no surprise etc etc. Just a week ago many were making excuses and carrying the water

Maybe, but there are plenty of RPO teams these days and their line is nowhere near as ****** as ours. There is a little bit too the scheme, but I just don't think our guys ever bought into Austin. Also, he was ok at G5 schools where they could exploit small mistakes by teams, but once you go up in talent, you aren't able to do the same things. Austin just wasn't good here.

Id like them to move Severe to the afternoon. They could pair him with Josh, and then give John the morning show slot with Damon.

No way Benning moves to afternoon because of his coaching gig.

Not sure honestly. Maybe about who was playing vs who should be.

In larger markets like Chicago, there was always great coverage of the local media landscape (contracts, salaries, etc). Would love to get that type of info for Omaha. Any guesses to what a Severe or Benning pulls in a year?

the “best in the biz” has chosen to shun all the big time gigs to do local radio out of Omaha?

While I agree that this forum doesn't have the inside info it used to have, it is quite adept at dissecting anything that's "well documented". Almost to the point of absurdity.

So my point stands.

No, Josh has to go away. I'd reboot that afternoon show with two new guys

Austin was never a good coach. Sure Killins and Milton made his lines look decent at UCF when in reality they were just as bad as they were here. Luckily he faced weak competition at UCF, where his OL wasn't exposed week after week like it is in a P5 conference.

We had it good for a while. When I'm driving through other cities and listening to drive time sports, it's almost always bad and homerish.

Not a popular opinion on here but I actually think Josh is funny. He doesn’t seem to care what others think and is just comfortable being himself, which is a goofy guy.

On the other end of the spectrum you have Severe. A guy who’s protective of his ego, takes criticism personally, tries to awkwardly insert humor in a way that comes off as wanting everyone to like him. Bishop is pretty annoying too.

i listen to severe and benning most mornings. and sometimes sharp.
and between them, their guests, and callers, at least there is an attempt to analyze the issues.
here in okc, its mostly just goofing around and who can opine the loudest or seem the most put out for ratings. its in a shitclass all by itself.

So how are you related to AM? You honestly have no desire to see anyone else take snaps besides "Mr. Guaranteed Loss"? I have no idea what Smothers is, but I know with 100% certainty who AM is. How much bigger sample size do you need to see? Steve Spurrier said he'd like to see Nebraska play a different quarterback. I guess he's an idiot too?

Not to go totally off point here, but, when was the last time we heard an opponent say that Nebraska is really a well coached team?
