Martinez threw for 248 yards on 16 completions with 1 TD. Smith-Njigba had 15 catches for 240 yards. and 1 TD. Any reason Chinander couldn't scheme something around a single WR?

We're lucky OSU's other 1st round draft pick WR was out for the game. Smith-Njigba just picked up the stats Wilson would have contributed.

Maybe because he had Olave and a bunch of other extremely talented WRs on the field at the same time. Sort of like choose your poison. Not that hard to figure out

Held them to 26 points, that should be good enough to win. Can't fault the defense or defensive play calling at all when the end result is 26 points.

Not going to complain about our defense. Newsome got picked on some, but that's going to happen against a team like Ohio St.

Ohio State is a damn talented team. They have scored on everyone and had big plays against everyone. You dont stop offenses like that, you merely slow them down enough for you to win. Our defense did that. We lost because of special teams, an injured QB, and lousy offensive tackle play.

I can’t believe our slow Linebackers couldn’t cover their speed Receivers over the middle. Pretty embarrassing defensive scheme leaving linebackers on the field against 4 WR sets.

Nebraska's defense held OSU to their lowest offensive point total of the year - 26 points. Really can't ask for much more

^^^^^^^^100%!!!!!
If ST’s, Offense and offensive coaching was worth a crap, Huskers win. You’re going to give up yards and points to teams like OSU. If you think otherwise, you’re not being realistic. The D has played well enough in every game to win and, I would say, played well today.

This is what you’re bitching about? Nebraska does give up yards between the 20’s, it’s a defense that is meant to force you to dink and dunk.

Blame the offense for not finishing anything that wasn’t a 60 yard play, and having slow forming plays. Blame the kickers for critical errors, but you can’t blame the defense.

Why does it matter what one player did? Don’t you think if we brought more attention to him another one of their five stars would’ve burned us?

Defense played admirably. Shouldn’t complain.

Spot on.

The game was lost in the 4th on the series that ended with the second missed FG.

The play prior to that was an excellent call on 3rd and 4 that was open for a first down. The throw missed the open receiver by 10 feet.

Then we inexplicably decided to kick a FG. On 4th and 4. Strange decision considering we do not have a serviceable FG kicker on the roster.

Domann should give an atomic wedgie to all personnel involved with this offense.

Stroud kept us in the game. By far his worst performance. Game could have gotten out of hand if he hit a few of those. Holding the ball too long, no feel for the pocket, etc. Worst I’ve seen him play. And Domann kept us alive as did AM. Both played great.

How embarrassing that people are defending a defense that gave up 500 yards in our building when the other team was missing first round NFL draft picks. Nebraska fans don’t even realize what a shitshow this game was on defense.

They can get 5000 yards for all I care if it means holding them to 26 points.

Is there an AM on our team that I’m missing? You can’t seriously be talking about Martinez? He was at his usual level of mediocre.

That like asking any of the Big 8 football teams why they couldn’t sack Tommie Frazier at least one time his entire senior season.

Have you watched OSU this year ? They usually have 500 yards & 50 points before they start clearing the bench in the mid 3rd quarter. Jesus, that wasn't the sisters of the poor offense that NU was playing today.

Ohio State backs up those first round players with other first/second round players, or do you not know that?

In fairness to Martinez, his throw on 3rd down barely got over the fingers of a d-lineman running at him. It would’ve been impossible to hit that receiver. But he’s lucky the throw wasn’t picked.
