Ok, lets humor this.
It’s like Tomlin said last week, ‘why would i do that
?’ paraphrasing.
Saban and Carroll were sucking air when they left, but when they did, they went to recruiting hotbeds.
I wouldn’t leave the nfl for any college drama.
any of it.
Unless, I had to

He might have a shot at the playoffs this season. That should be his focus. He can always come and coach at Nebraska in the future.

How ironic would a drop back qb, from a coach people hated, saving Nebraska after the anointed one be?

Honest question: does he even have much loyalty to Nebraska? Great QB for us for a couple years, but he was a JUCO pro style QB who made a pit stop here during a coaching tenure that didn’t embrace Nebraska for what it is.

If he’d be interested I’d love to have him, but until they slipped up this week against the Jets (trap game), they were the top seed in the AFC. Don’t see him going anywhere this offseason.

Taylor probably would be a good coach for Nebraska, but how he addresses recruiting, you know, the travel to meet recruits, sell his vision, sell the program, would have a lot of bearing in raising the Titanic that Husker football has become.

He, or any other coach that eventually takes over, would have to be a damn good salesman AND coach.

great point, although Zac Taylor is revered in husker nation for his toughness, other than he played here 2 years, what loyalty should he have to NU?

He's doing a great job for Cincy IMO.
Exactly, people are guessing on a bunch of people that already have good pro jobs or they have already retired with winning resumes that are finished coaching football not alone being a head college football coach like Gruden, Parcells and Cower..

Look, I'm more than ready to have Frost for another year. Even though it's not what I want.

We aren't getting Urban Meyer. I doubt Matt Campbell would even entertain this job.

We are a train wreck. One that can be fixed, with the right guy - but I've been doing this long enough to temper my expectations.

I believe Taylor has always spoken well of his time at Nebraska when interviewed by the local sports talk guys. He certainly doesn't have any undying loyalty to us, but likewise doesn't seem to have any axe to grind over Callahan's exit.

College football and NFL are completely different animals.

Not all successful coaches would be good recruiters and that is O so important to have a successful college football program

Love Zac. Bad loss this week but has improved this season. Cincy fans don’t appear to like him.
