First year Head coach Bret Bielema has beaten a top ten team on the road; a feat that Frost hasn't been able to do in 4 years. Illinois has much less talent than Nebraska yet they were able to accomplish this major feat. It is all about coaching and recruiting. Frost had his chance. Time to move on and get a coach that can make Nebraska relevant again.

The history of Nebraska pulling off a upset is sorry , Frost is just making it worse. Like I said last week , Iowa beat PSU because the QB went out. As you witnessed this week , they suck without him. PSU was overrated.

Bert? Bert is not the guy to point to. Yesterday’s, bizarre fluke win was nice . However, he has lost at home to UTSA, got shut out by Wisconsin, lost by 4 TD’s at home to Virginia. He isn’t going to experience any kind of success at Illinois.

I wonder if people pointing to Illinois win yesterday as a goal would want to exchange records with them

They literally have the same record as us... AND a big win... and a head to head vs us

You want to know who has more conference wins than Scott Frost this season? IL. And they are in the first season with their head caoch and also beat Frost.

It's simply amazing there is any person that still wants Scott Frost around going into the Purdue game.

As I posted when UTSA beat them, UTSA is actually a pretty good team. UTSA is ranked for heaven's sake. They've got a probably 1st round pick on their team and a Husker legacy we would love to have. They're in a recuiting hot bed and have been able to load up on local talent. That said, football now more than ever is a QB driven game and PSU's QB situation is even worse than ours now.

I feel bad for anyone trying to defend Frost for a moment, but then I get angry. Keeping Frost would do major harm with recruiting bottoming out and the transfer portal looming

We gave Frost plenty of time. We gave Frost enough time to hang himself. If people are mad he didn't make it to year 5 they should be mad at Frost that he did so poorly he wasn't given a 5th year.

Yep. I'm trying not to be too negative about Frost and this team, I'm going to watch every game the rest of the year and hope they win... but my God the straight denial of the reality of the state of this program and just how bad things are statistically just for the sake of supporting Frost is mind numbing. Matt Campbell took Iowa F**king State to 8 wins his 2nd year. That's not a pro Campbell statement, just one about how it doesn't take 5 to seven years to turn around a perennial loser and change the culture.

Everybody knows at this point that Frost’s biggest mistake was bringing his JV level staff to Lincoln. With that said, is he willing to hire an actual offensive coordinator with several years of P5 experience? Is willing to take a step back and let his staff do their jobs? If he isn’t willing to do that then Nebraska needs to look elsewhere.

Patience everyone. Patience. If Frost wins 3 of the next 4 and makes a bowl game we might regret all of this Fire Frost Talk. But if he loses the next 4, as I think he will, we will be 3-9. The decision that needs to be made will then follow. Let’s just watch the remaining games and see how things play out. My gut says we are looking for a new coach the Monday after Black Friday.

Agree no way he survives at 3-9, even 4-8 is highly doubtful he survives

If Frost revamps his offensive staff I would give him the fifth. O line has been a flop for 4 years with a number of 4 stars. I’ve never figured out the value of our QB coach and no special teams coach.

Meh, the only winnable game left is Purdue and who knows if Frost even wins that game since he has not won a game after a bye week. This team isn't beating Ohio State and Wisconsin and will be playing an Iowa team that needs to win to make it to Indy.

I think he needs to win 2 more games minimum to retain his job. This whole "we're getting close" crap is silly. This is an 8 win roster even with our schedule. To not even get halfway to that # is ridiculous. We're coming to the end of year 4. It's time to WIN and not beat ourselves for cryin out loud.

And yet….he schooled the fraud in his first game @ Illinois. All because Illinois came out in a different front than what Frost and his cronies watched over the offseason.

Of course, the chances that Frost put much effort in to the game plan during the offseason is very slim.

Yes, this is it! Let it playout on the season with 3 home games and a winnable (wink, wink) away game in Wisconsin! If Coach Frost is a good coach, we win and go to a bowl! It was nice yesterday with no stress upon my old body! Just win Huskers and it cures it all!!! Haha!

He's not a good coach. Most who want to keep him probably admit that. The senitment seems to be that because we arent getting blown out and could have more wins, maybe he's not as bad as we thought (or he's getting better). "Progress" is their favorite word.

How is Wisconsin a winnable game? We aren't going to be able to run on them with the RB's. Martinez will **** up with the pressure that WI will generate. Their running game will shorten the game and we aren't going to shutdown their rushing attack all game. WI may not do much in the air though.

I've been saying that it's the head coach for years (actually decades now).

Their front is Similar to Michigan with Michigan probably being better. We may not get big yards, but we could do some things. Wisconsin is very getable.
